Job Description
The Team
This role reports to the Head of Project Delivery, Portfolio Director, or Program Manager as part of a team of project and program managers. Strong collaboration with business stakeholders across Technology, Product and Commercial domains is required for successful delivery of projects/initiatives. The role involves building empathetic relationships with stakeholder groups internal and external to SEEK, including leadership teams and third parties (e.g. system integrator partners).
The Role
To be successful in this role you will be a highly experienced Project Manager with previous experience managing projects/initiative with high user impact and extensive change management and communication requirements within multiple geographies. This is a hands on management role, requiring excellent communication, team, and stakeholder engagement skills
Key Responsibilities
- Autonomously plan, manage, and monitor delivery of complex projects/initiatives or several projects/initiatives in parallel from initiation to closure
- Manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies for complex or several projects/initiatives in parallel, with built-in flexibility for pivoting based on customer feedback and market learnings
- Lead stakeholder engagement and communication for complex or several projects/initiatives across multi-geography teams with emphasis on transparency and real-time visibility
- Ensure appropriate change management practices are applied to ensure user-centric adoption and business benefits
- Establish appropriate project/initiative governance structures and approval processes that balance oversight with team autonomy and decision-making speed
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party contractor coordination
- Create and maintain project/initiative documentation, reports, and status communications
- Drive continuous improvement culture through retrospectives and process optimisation
- Ensure project/initiative quality expectations are met and standards maintained
- Support business users with training and intervention practices for change adoption
- Mentor project managers in advancing their delivery effectiveness
- Represent projects in senior stakeholder forums and governance committees
- Lead a productive, empowered, high performance team-driven environment to enable the project/initiative team to perform to the best of their ability
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- 5 - 7 years’ experience as a Project Manager with demonstrated experience leading technology projects/initiatives with geographically dispersed teams
- Proven ability to manage project/initiative schedules, scope, budget, and timelines in fast-paced environments
- Experience with project management and portfolio software including JIRA
Other Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Formal project management qualification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, or similar)
- Experience with agile and lean project management methodologies
- Strong commercial acumen and vendor management experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Graduate qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive user adoption
