What you’ll be doing

  • Team Environment and Development: Foster a collaborative environment by integrating feedback, supporting agile practices, and working closely with Agile Coaches. Encourage a culture of openness, continuous learning, and growth, emphasizing the importance of technological excellence and innovation
  • Leadership Presence: Maintain a visible and approachable stance, being a reliable source of support and guidance for your teams. Embrace a leadership style that balances proactive problem-solving with humility and transparency, valuing the contributions of every team member.
  • Leadership Team Collaboration: As part of the team’s leadership (Design Lead, Product Manager, Engineering Lead), you’ll play a key role in driving delivery, effectiveness, and genuine teamwork
  • Talent Management and Growth: Lead by example in the recruitment and development of a skilled, diverse team as well as building up talent from scratch by supporting our Engineering Entry Programs. Implement structured processes for personal and professional growth, ensuring clarity in roles and facilitating continuous skill enhancement and learning opportunities
  • Operational Excellence: Take responsibility for budgeting, resource planning, and the coordination of efforts across departments to achieve seamless collaboration and operational efficiency. Act as a steward of the group’s mission and vision, aligning team efforts with organizational goals
  • Strategic Engagement: Play an active role in strategy formulation and goal setting in collaboration with product, design, and technology partners. Drive your teams towards achieving shared objectives, fostering an environment that empowers decentralized decision-making and innovation
  • Performance and Improvement: Regularly assess team and engineering effectiveness using data-driven insights validated by a close relationship with the teams. Prioritize and implement initiatives aimed at continuous improvement, adhering to best practices and standards within the broader organizational context
  • Initiative Oversight and Risk Mitigation: Lead transparency efforts in cross-team initiatives, ensuring clear communication of progress and challenges. Proactively identify and address risks, and manage non-functional requirements to enhance security, scalability, and performance. Your role is crucial in maintaining initiative momentum and ensuring outcomes meet our high standards for reliability and strategic alignment.

What you need to be successful

  • Proven Experience in an Engineering Management/Leadership role.
  • Servant Leadership: Embody servant leadership by being genuinely people-centric, creating safe spaces, and unblocking teams to ensure their success. Your leadership style encourages empathy, trust, and team-building.
  • Technical Acumen: Possess a solid understanding of software engineering, including DevOps practices, CI/CD, and architecture, enabling you to guide teams toward technological excellence and sustainability.
  • Strategic Thinker: Exhibit strong organizational and decision-making skills, with a knack for pragmatic problem-solving. You’re adept at managing competing priorities and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
  • Strategic Insight and Risk Awareness: You excel in overseeing cross-team initiatives with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. Your strategic insight ensures effective collaboration and transparent communication, driving initiatives to success and aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Communicator and Collaborator: Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, capable of managing up, working with peers, and aligning teams behind shared goals. You foster collaborative problem-solving and ensure product and engineering alignment.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

What you’ll get

  • Competitive Compensation - we offer attractive salary packages including LTIP (unit-based Long Term Incentive Plan)
  • Flexibility- we offer flexible working time models and the option of hybrid work, and support this with a yearly flex work allowance of €1560
