The Task At Hand:

The Accounts Payable Supervisor reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for the execution of receiving, processing, and verifying all invoices for payment, responding to payment inquiries, researching variance in received but not vouchered, and reviewing statements in a precise, efficient, and timely manner.

In This Role, You Will:

•       Apply basic accounting principles related to accounts payable

•       Process and review voucher expense and RNI invoices daily, ensuring proper GL coding and accuracy

•       Obtain proper approval from department heads prior to making payment for invoices

•       Onboard vendors according to company policy

•       Compile weekly payment proposal file for review

•       Process payments on a weekly basis

•       Analyze and research discrepancies by reconciling accounts from vendors and monthly vendor statements

•       Maintain and organize important documents and the Outlook inbox for easy retrieval of documents

•       Participate in month-end close, annual audits, and tax filings

•       Dispute and collect payments for any AP-related errors

•       Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external business partners

•       Ensure offshore Accounts Payable Clerks are processing timely and accurately, and meeting KPIs

•       Assist with any other tasks assigned by the Accounting Manager

In This Role, You’ll Bring With You

•       Prior professional working experience in accounts payable functions

•       At least 5 years of professional experience processing invoices and related payments in the CPG industry

•       At least 2 years of managing Accounts Payable direct reports

•       High degree of self-motivation and organization, and the ability to work in a team environment

•       Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software

•       Effective communication skills

•       The ability to make independent decisions aligned with the function of the role, department goals, and company processes

•       High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

•       Prior professional experience gathering, processing, interpreting, and telling a story with data

•       Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms

•       Up to 10% travel: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year.

•       Genuine passion for improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet

•       Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Finance preferred

•       Desire to contribute to a dynamic, high-growth, purpose-driven work environment

•       Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position

Compensation:

•       Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt

•       The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
