Influential is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in billing and collections, who thrives in high-volume environments, communicates proactively, and is eager to continuously improve processes. You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating with clients on outstanding payments, and supporting a smooth billing operation in the fast-paced world of influencer marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and send invoices to customers in accordance with contract terms
- Process and apply incoming payments (checks, ACH) to customer accounts
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due accounts
- Coordinate with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
- Maintain clear records of collections efforts and customer correspondence
- Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close
- Prepare AR reports and assist with audit and documentation requests
- Identify opportunities to improve billing and collections processes and workflows
Qualifications:
- Physically based on the East Coast
- 2+ years of experience in billing, ideally within accounts receivable or a related role
- High-volume billing experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working directly with clients to manage collections and follow-up
- Strong attention to detail and ability to critically think through processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive communicator who regularly checks in with their manager, and is comfortable asking questions and taking ownership of finding solutions
- Experience with AR software and ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite)
- Bookkeeping knowledge is a plus, but not required
