The Operations & Analytics team powers Veriff’s business engine. We’re cracking the online identity crisis in a scalable way, deploying excellence to keep Veriff on the cusp of innovation. We’re looking for a curious and driven player-coach to lead our Advanced Analytics team. In this role, you’ll make a meaningful impact by elevating the quality and scalability of analytics across Veriff. You’ll lead a team of analytics engineers, data scientists, and data professionals responsible for building the foundation of our analytics ecosystem: from raw data to analyst-ready models and, increasingly, production-grade machine learning systems.

We’re looking for an experienced leader to head our Advanced Analytics team. This group sets the standard for how analytics is done across Veriff: building core data models, defining tooling and documentation best practices, and ensuring we produce high-quality, reusable data assets that power business decisions.
You’ll help us power Veriff’s business operations by:
- Leading a growing team of analytics engineers and data scientists within the Operations & Analytics org.
- Setting and enforcing high standards for data modeling, analytics engineering, and documentation.
- Designing and owning core, reusable data models that enable scalable reporting and insights across product, operations, and business teams.
- Defining best practices for using dbt, modular SQL, and data governance to ensure clarity and maintainability.
- Building the foundation for production-grade ML models to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Collaborating closely with business and operational stakeholders to translate their needs into robust data solutions.
- Driving an impact-focused culture that prioritizes complete, accurate, and timely data assets.
- Mentoring team members and building a culture of excellence, autonomy, and accountability.
- Working closely with the Data Engineering team to ensure we are executing on an impactful roadmap oriented to our end-stakeholders’ needs.
You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, data science, data modeling, or a related quantitative field.
- Deep proficiency in dbt and modern analytics engineering practices.
- Strong understanding of scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data environments like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL skills and working knowledge of Python or R for analysis and automation.
- Proven ability to work independently, lead ambiguous problem-solving efforts, and translate data into business impact.
- Expertise in data visualization (ideally Tableau), with the ability to create intuitive, performant dashboards.
- Experience mentoring or leading a team—ideally in a player-coach capacity.
