Job description

About Kasa

Kasa is the leading tech-enabled hotel and apartment hotel brand and manager. Kasa has built a hospitality operating system that fundamentally improves the profitability of hospitality assets while delivering a high quality, digitally forward experience to guests. We partner with owners of multifamily and boutique hospitality properties to deliver stylish, professionally managed accommodations to business and leisure travelers alike. We took the best that hotels and short-term rentals had to offer and created a new class of hospitality that is well-priced, reliable, and offers a large selection of great locations.

Unlike traditional hotel operators, we prioritize automation, AI-driven pricing, and data-driven decision-making to optimize revenue and improve guest experiences.

About This Opportunity (Contractor Role – Mexico Based)

This is a contractor position supporting Kasa from within Mexico. You’ll work remotely and collaborate closely with U.S.-based teams. While we’ve listed a location for job board compliance, this role is fully remote, and contractors are not considered employees of Kasa. We are seeking someone who operates independently and is comfortable working under a service-based agreement.

About the Role

As an AI Innovation Specialist (Contractor), you’ll play a key role in driving operational efficiency at Kasa through intelligent automation and process improvement. You’ll partner cross-functionally to reduce manual workloads, eliminate repetitive tasks, and unlock new levels of productivity across departments like Operations, Guest Services, Finance, and HR.

You’ll be embedded in a high-impact space between Engineering and Business Intelligence, focusing on AI tools and workflow automation platforms. The role will involve identifying high-impact use cases where automation or AI can improve efficiency, accuracy, and scale—allowing teams to focus on higher-value work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department leads to identify manual processes and opportunities for automation.

  • Build and deploy workflow automations using platforms like Zapier, n8n, Make, or similar.

  • Design and manage API integrations that connect tools across functions.

  • Use modern AI tools to automate decision-making and improve data accuracy.

  • Create dashboards and monitoring tools to track workflow performance.

  • Draft training and documentation materials to support tool adoption across teams.

  • Support change management efforts and help internal teams self-serve automation needs.

  • Report impact metrics—like hours saved, productivity gains, or reduction in error rates.

This Role is a Fit If You:

  • Thrive in a remote-first, independent contractor environment.

  • Have experience designing and implementing automations across business teams.

  • Bring hands-on skills with Python, SQL, APIs, and modern AI tools.

  • Understand orchestration tools like Zapier, n8n, Make, or similar.

  • Are comfortable collaborating with engineers and business stakeholders alike.

  • Communicate clearly and enjoy helping non-technical users understand technical solutions.

  • Can prioritize automation opportunities based on business impact.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in automation engineering, business intelligence, or operations.

  • Strong hands-on skills with API integration, scripting, and automation tools.

  • Experience deploying AI-powered solutions that automate workflows or data processes.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under a contractor model.

  • Ability to track performance metrics and demonstrate business value of automation work.

What Success Looks Like

  • You’ve automated key manual processes and shown measurable impact (e.g., time saved, fewer errors).

  • You’ve introduced AI tools that meaningfully improve how teams work.

  • Teams proactively come to you for automation support and expertise.

  • You’ve helped Kasa scale smarter by reducing repetitive work and unlocking team capacity.

Please Note:

This is a contractor position based in Mexico, supporting a U.S.-based company. You will operate under a services contract, and this role does not establish an employer-employee relationship under Mexican labor law. Compensation will be set in alignment with the responsibilities of the role and local market rates for contract services.
