National Sales Manager

at Kasa

Job description

About Kasa

Kasa is the leading tech-enabled hotel and apartment hotel brand and manager. Kasa has built a hospitality operating system that fundamentally improves the profitability of hospitality assets while delivering a high quality, digitally forward experience to guests. We partner with owners of multifamily and boutique hospitality properties to deliver stylish, professionally managed accommodations to business and leisure travelers alike. We took the best that hotels and short-term rentals had to offer and created a new class of hospitality that is well-priced, reliable, and offers a large selection of great locations.

Unlike traditional hotel operators, we prioritize automation, AI-driven pricing, and data-driven decision-making to optimize revenue and improve guest experiences.

Purpose of the National Sales Manager position

The National Sales Manager will report to the Associate Director of Sales and work closely with the Revenue Management, Reservations, and Operations teams. This individual will be laser-focused on driving profitable revenue growth, building strategic client relationships, and scaling our sales operations nationwide.

In a fast-moving startup environment, this role requires both big-picture strategy and roll-up-your-sleeves execution. The National Sales Manager will drive revenue growth by expanding into new markets, securing high-value accounts, and cultivating group and corporate opportunities for both short-term and extended stays.

At Kasa, success is measured not by topline volume, but by the profit your deals generate after subtracting (a) the value of any demand they push out and (b) the variable and channel costs to service them. In practice, that means prioritizing need-period business that clears bid-price thresholds and lifts total contribution. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned sales leader with deep hospitality experience, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and a proven track record of exceeding targets. It’s also a unique opportunity to shape the future of hospitality by redefining how travelers view flexible accommodations.

Unleash your career potential at Kasa

Key Responsibilities

  • Create incremental demand: Prioritize and secure need-period business that profitably lifts RevPAR contribution across markets.
  • Prospect and close high-value deals: Win and grow national preferred accounts and high-value group/extended-stay business.
  • Strategic partnerships: Pursue large corporations, insurance companies, film studios, and relocation firms to secure high-volume, long-term stays nationwide.
  • Build national sales motion: Develop the playbook, processes, tools, and KPIs that future sellers can run at scale.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Product, and Operations to align go-to-market initiatives.
  • Market intelligence: Gather customer and market insights to inform product development, positioning, and sales strategy.
  • Industry representation: Represent Kasa at client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.
  • Forecasting & reporting: Prepare accurate forecasts, pipeline insights, and performance reporting for leadership and investors.
  • Adaptability: Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and emerging opportunities.

Success Metrics

  • North star: Incremental revenue, net of displacement and variable costs, with a focus on driving contribution during need periods.
  • New preferred accounts signed and producing (90180-day ramp).
  • RFP wins, TMC/consortia production, group conversion rate and cycle time.
  • Renewal and expansion rates, including multi-market penetration per account.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred but not required if experience is strong)
  • 8+ years of hospitality sales experience, ideally in a startup or high-growth company
  • Proven track record of building pipelines and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Have built and maintain a strong, well-established network of industry contacts to drive business growth and partnerships
  • Comfortable balancing strategy with direct selling and prospecting
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Adaptable, entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on execution
  • Willingness to travel as needed to build relationships and close deals

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to shape sales strategy at a growing startup
  • High-impact role with direct visibility to leadership and investors
  • Flexible, innovative, remote-first work environment with room to grow
  • Competitive compensation with uncapped commission potential

In one year, you will succeed at Kasa by:

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy to expand into target markets and secure high-value accounts.
