The ideal candidate has experience in business development, partnerships, or channel sales, preferably in HR, consulting, or professional services, and thrives in a relationship-oriented, consultative environment.
THE ROLE
Careerminds is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Alliance Director to lead the development and management of our referral partner ecosystem. This high-impact role will identify, engage, and grow partnerships with firms that serve organizations undergoing change β such as restructuring, transformation, or downsizing β and are in a position to recommend our career transition services.
This is a 100% remote/work-from-home role.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner Identification & Outreach
- Research and prioritize target partner categories (e.g., restructuring, HR, consulting).
- Initiate conversations with decision-makers at prospective partner firms.
- Pitch the Careerminds alliance model and value proposition.
Partnership Development
- Structure mutually beneficial agreements, including commercial terms (e.g., referral fees).
- Lead contract negotiations and coordinate with legal as needed.
- Develop enablement materials and training resources to help partners identify referral opportunities.
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for alliance partners.
- Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and pipeline reviews.
- Track and report on referral activity and alliance performance metrics.
Internal Collaboration
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align on partner engagement and lead flow.
- Provide feedback to improve partner tools, collateral, and referral processes.
THE MUST-HAVES
- 7+ years in partnerships, alliances, business development, or channel sales roles.
- Experience in HR services, professional services, or B2B consultative sales is strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with senior leaders and consulting professionals.
- Strong project management and negotiation skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple partnerships and initiatives simultaneously.
- Familiarity with referral fee models, alliance marketing, and joint go-to-market planning.
- Authorization to work for any US employer.
