Join our Business Development team as Associate Director Business Development.
Associate Director Business Development supports the acquisition and growth of new business opportunities, with a focus on Clinical Research and/or Pharmacovigilance (PV), Medical Information (MI), and Regulatory Affairs (RA) services. The role combines proactive client acquisition, account development, and support of strategic sales initiatives.
Location: Europe (Remote/Travel Required)
Reports to Chief Commercial Officer.
The ideal candidate brings a solid track record of successfully driving new client acquisition, demonstrating a strategic, βhunterβ-oriented approach in the Clinical Research and/or PV, MI, and RA service domains.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Attracting new clients and building strong relationships in Clinical Research and/or PV, MI, and RA service lines.
- Maintaining good relationships with assigned key clients and ensuring proactive account management.
- Ensuring completion of assigned sales goals and contributing to broader commercial strategy.
- Supporting the execution of sales strategy and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Identify and convert new business opportunities in Clinical Research and/or PV, MI, and RA service areas.
- Independently drive lead generation and relationship development.
- Support sales strategy implementation and represent the company at industry events.
Key Account Management
- Develop and maintain account plans for assigned clients.
- Coordinate RFP/RFI responses and lead bid defense meetings.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and continuity.
Operational Collaboration
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
- Actively support proposal, marketing, and operations teams during client acquisition cycles.
Revenue Growth
- Consistently achieve assigned sales targets.
- Contribute to YoY growth in assigned territories or accounts.
Requirements:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proactive and result-driven with strong organizational capabilities.
Team-oriented but capable of working independently.
Flexible mindset aligned with company values and growth.
University degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of sales or account management experience in CRO or related life sciences sector.
Fluent in English and native language (both spoken and written).
Proficient with MS Office; CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) are an advantage.
