Position Overview:
The Associate Director, Hosting Operations reports to the Sr. Director of Hosting Operations and is responsible for endpoint’s client-facing systems and applications including leading systems engineering & operations with both On Premise IT and Cloud Operations staff. The Associate Director will lead both the SDLC and HDLC to build & operate new systems, features, upgrades, tools, and applications, leading the team in support for both On Prem and Cloud client-facing applications and related needs. The Associate Director, Hosting Operations is also responsible for driving key strategic initiatives as well as budget and vendor management. In addition, this role is key in developing technology processes and standards that are consistent with endpoint’s values including adhering to Quality, Regulatory, and Compliance guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership to the teams developing as well as managing endpoint’s systems and applications.
- Develop, review and create standards and policies for endpoint’s systems and management of the systems. These policies should ensure qualified systems are maintained while providing reliability and security.
- Manage the HDLC for developing endpoint On Prem infrastructure including system, network, security engineering/operations and associated vendor management.
- Manage the SDLC for endpoint Azure Cloud Engineering including development of IaC and software deployment pipelines, associated features, and enhancements.
- Plan, develop and implement high availability strategies, capacity planning, performance tuning, and site monitoring for endpoint systems.
- Guide the team in how to perform the full range of On Premise and Cloud Infrastructure engineering & operations including Data Center systems, network, and security, and Azure Cloud IaC and deployment pipelines.
- Identify opportunities to streamline endpoint processes and provide tools to automate endpoint functions.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and testing of the recovery procedures under the disaster recovery plan.
- 24x7 on-call production support as needed.
- Provide Systems Management support for production, staging, development and disaster recovery requirements including incident and security response leadership within the Hosting Operations team.
- Participate in RFI process for endpoint describing technical processes and environmental conditions.
- Act in a leadership capacity within endpoint to facilitate technical solutions, problem solving, and development.
- Recruit, develop, mentor and coach Hosting Operations staff to meet personal and organizational goals and business priorities.
- Fosters a strong and positive work environment that rewards individual and team efforts and encourages creativity, while maintaining high caliber productivity.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Experience:
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience with IT infrastructure development, SRE, and/or DevOps.
- Relevant Cloud and SDLC/orchestration/automation tooling experience.
- Understanding of building enterprise solutions, capturing requirements, and documenting business needs.
- Experience leading and managing development efforts to deliver client-facing solutions.
- Possess and understanding of GxP standards and application to systems involved in clinical studies.
- Experience managing vendors that include keeping efforts on track and negotiating agreements for development work.
- Ability to interact effectively with resources from the functional and technical tracks on the project team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities is a necessity.
- Must be willing to work on-call as part of regular work schedule and when required.
- Process and detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment preferred

$180,000 - $190,000 a year
