The Associate IT Support Specialist is a great place to start your IT career. You will play a key role in providing hands-on assistance with computing hardware, user onboarding and offboarding, routine internal IT support, and system monitoring. You will also help to bridge the gap between people and technology with the goal of ensuring that employees are equipped with reliable tools and that internal services function efficiently and securely. Focusing on responsiveness and organization-wide support, youโll contribute directly to user experience and productivity as well as, asset accountability. This is a full-time role based out of Germany.

Role Scope and Responsibilities
The Associate Support Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Staff computing hardware support: Handling procurement, setup, and troubleshooting for laptops and accessories.
- Staff onboarding and offboarding: Ensuring smooth technology transitions for new and departing employees.
- Internal IT support: Managing day-to-day tasks such as VPN access, password resets, application support, and user permissions.
- Inventory management: Tracking hardware assets, replacements, and software licensing compliance.
- Service monitoring and internal reporting: Supporting foundational uptime and internal service diagnostics across the organisation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Based in Germany (e.g., Berlin, Frankfurt, or Cologne), the candidate should possess:
- Experience supporting Windows and MacOS
- A working knowledge of VPNs, authentication tools, and basic endpoint security
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German
It would be great if you also:
- Were familiar with managing hardware inventory including procurement, configuration, and decommissioning across multiple locations
- Were comfortable executing onboarding and offboarding tasks such as creating and revoking access to internal systems, coordinating credential setup, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and introducing new staff to our IT policies
- Had some Linux experience
- Have 1-2 years of experience
Itโs amazing if you also have:
- Good written and verbal communication skills in French.
- Experience with and passion for open-source software.
Education
- A College diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
