Summary

The Associate Process Improvement role involves analyzing processes and implementing changes to improve overall performance in the business area, in support of the Process Improvement Manager.

Responsibilities

More specifically, you will participate in the following:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders of the process for which improvement is requested, to gain a full understanding of the process in question;
  • Complete a critical review of the process flow and data;
  • Build and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Provide training on newly introduced process improvements;
  • Perform required maintenance and sustainment activities for implemented improvements;
  • Adhere to applicable standards and regulations such as ISO 13485, ISO 15189, CAP/CLIA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 820, and IVDR, as appropriate;
  • Oversee improvement timelines with the support of the Manager;
  • Identify and escalate issues/risks in a timely and proactive manner;
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support business needs.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering) or Computer Programming. A Master’s degree is a plus;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred;
  • LEAN/Six Sigma belt preferred.

Main Requirements

  • Proven experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, Agile) as well as the development and deployment of programming and efficiency tools;
  • Strong interest in analyzing processes and problem-solving abilities;
  • Efficient communication skills;
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges;
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools;
  • Mastery of Office 365 suite, including advanced formulas, VBA macros, Power Pivot, Power BI, and Power Automate.

Working Conditions

  • Based in Wilrijk, Antwerp (Belgium);
  • Hybrid schedule with 2-3 days onsite.
