Job description

Marigold Health is a growing digital health company offering peer-led support for individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges. We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to help improve the tools and experiences used by both our members and the peer support team that serves them. Your work will make care more accessible, intuitive, and effective.

This is a hands-on role on a small, mission-driven product team. You’ll work closely with design, engineering, and clinical operations to build thoughtful, impactful solutions. We move quickly, support each other, and care deeply about building tools that help people find connection, care, and progress in their recovery.

We’re looking for someone early in their product career. You might have experience in product management, design, or another user-centered role. You’re eager to grow into broader ownership over time. You’ll have real responsibility from day one, with the mentorship and support to help you succeed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with product, design, engineering, and clinical operations to deliver high-quality features that support both members in recovery and the peer recovery coaches who serve them.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to understand their workflows, identify friction points, and co-develop improvements to internal tools.
  • Translate user feedback into clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, write and communicate product requirements, manage tickets, and support day-to-day execution across product cycles.
  • Analyze product usage data and qualitative feedback to support continuous iteration and improve user experience.
  • Help maintain product documentation, workflows, and knowledge bases to ensure strong team alignment.
  • Help coordinate with teams and leads across functions to share information, seek input, and provide clarity on product and project status.

You Might Be a Good Fit If:

  • You have 1 to 2 years of experience in product management or a related role directly involved in product development.
  • You’ve written specs, managed tickets, participated in sprints, and supported QA and launch.
  • You’re analytical, with experience interpreting product data and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • You’re a strong communicator, especially in cross-functional teams.
  • You’re comfortable using tools like Jira, Figma, Confluence, and product analytics platforms.
  • You’re proactive and organized, with strong attention to detail, and you know how to prioritize progress over perfection.
  • You’re empathetic and curious, with a drive to improve real human experiences through technology.
  • Bonus: you’ve worked in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries.
  • Bonus: you have experience in UX or product design and are looking to transition into product management.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • You’ll help scale a first-of-its-kind, peer-led recovery model to communities across the U.S.
  • Your work will directly improve how people access care, connect with peers, and sustain recovery.
  • You’ll be part of a small, mission-driven team that values empathy, autonomy, and honest collaboration.

Compensation, Benefits & Culture:

  • This role will report to Carrie, our Head of Product
  • The salary range for this role is $75-88k, depending on experience
  • All full-time employees receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a mental health stipend
  • 4 weeks of accrued PTO

Interview Process

  • Tell us a bit about yourself in this application. We’re a small, mission-driven team, and we hire with care. Real people on our team will read what you share, so feel free to be thoughtful, honest, and yourself.
  • After reviewing your application, we’ll schedule a 30-minute intro call with a member of the team. If it feels like a good fit on both sides, we’ll invite you to a deeper conversation with our Product team (about 45 minutes), followed by conversations with 2-4 team members across Product, Engineering, and Operations. The full process typically takes 3-4 hours of your time and we aim to give clear updates within five business days at each step.
  • Aiming for a start date of early to mid-August but can be flexible for the right candidate.
