We connect healthcare facilities and schools with local professionals to fill open shifts. Our platform helps patients and students get better care, and professionals find flexible work with transparent pay. We were founded in 2016 and are Joint Commission Certified.
For professionals, we let you choose open shifts, set your own schedule, and get paid right after clocking out with InstantPay (launched January 2022). Our License Manager helps you upload and verify multiple professional licenses quickly, opening up more shifts. Urgent Shifts pay more for last-minute needs, and highly-rated professionals get early access through Priority Access. We also offer Timesheets 2.0 for digital timekeeping and auto-verification, plus a “Work with Friends” feature for team collaboration.
For facilities, we provide immediate access to qualified professionals for short- and long-term staffing. You can get live ETA updates, review documents, and communicate with professionals. We also offer Maple, an all-in-one platform for scheduling, timekeeping, and attendance management for your in-house staff and agency partners. While we started with Long Term Care (LTC) facilities, we’re now expanding into Hospitals, Dentistry, and Pharmacy. As of September 2023, we’ve filled over 4 million shifts for facilities we serve.
We are a Y Combinator company, valued at $1.3 billion after Series C funding, and have been profitable since 2022. We’ve raised $80 million, backed by Sequoia and IVP. Our platform has seen over 6.2 million unique shifts posted and 650,000 app downloads across Play Store and App Store.
