Business

Mid-level

Job description

With over $3 billion in bookings of experiences, the Peek.com platform combines powerful business software with an award-winning marketplace for consumers to book fun things to do like wine tours, watersports, skydiving, art classes, and more.

The Peek Pro software suite provides world-class online booking, point-of-sale, and hundreds of automation tools such as inventory management, dynamic pricing, waivers, and marketing analytics. Thousands of operators like the Museum of Ice Cream, Artechouse, and Jam NOLA have grown their businesses and automated their operations with our technology.

Peek follows a “remote-first” philosophy, with our team of over 250 Peeksters distributed across exciting locales such as San Francisco, New York, Austin, Nashville, Salt Lake City, Santiago, Medellin, and beyond.  Having secured funding exceeding $100 million from esteemed backers like Westcap and Goldman Sachs, we continue our mission to connect the world through experiences.

PS: In 2021, Peek was not only recognized with a coveted position on Forbes America’s Best Startups Employer list but also celebrated an honor from Newsweek with their Future of Travel award 🚀. And the accolades don’t stop there! We’re ecstatic to announce our #14 ranking on the a16z Marketplace 100 for 2023! 🎉

Who You Are:

  • You come from a BizOps, Operations, Analytics, or Product background.

  • You’ve worked in fast-paced tech environments (startups or growth-stage companies) where figuring things out and driving impact mattered more than fancy titles.

  • You’ve used tools like OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or Zapier AI to solve real problems or automate workflows.

  • You’re comfortable with Python or JavaScript — not a full-stack engineer, but able to build, connect, and ship things that work.

  • You’re outcome-driven: you focus on solving business problems, not training models from scratch.

  • You’re curious and scrappy, and you learn as you go — even without a clear playbook.

  • You can communicate complex AI concepts clearly to business teams and enjoy helping others learn.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify and prioritize automation and AI opportunities across Support, Ops, Product, and Sales teams.

  • Build AI-powered tools and integrations using LLMs and APIs — from quick prototypes to internal tools in production.

  • Work with a variety of data types — text (80%), and occasionally audio, video, or image content (20%) — depending on use cases.

  • Act as an internal AI consultant, guiding teams on what’s possible and where to start.

  • Evaluate and integrate third-party AI tools where relevant.

  • Create and share internal AI best practices, documentation, and team trainings.

  • Stay current on LLMs, NLP, and automation trends, and bring in what’s useful.

  • Partner with leadership to help shape our AI roadmap, with a strong focus on near-term impact.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–4 years of professional experience, ideally starting in ops/analytics and transitioning into AI-driven work.

  • Hands-on experience with OpenAI, LangChain, Zapier, or custom Python/JS scripts.

  • A strong understanding of business needs and how to use AI to meet them.

  • Comfortable building and shipping tools independently, without needing a full engineering team.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in a remote environment.

  • A proactive mindset — you see inefficiencies and jump in to solve them.

  • English is our business language and proficiency is required

What This Role Isn’t :

This isn’t a research or ML engineering position. You won’t be training models from scratch or building the next GPT.

This is a hands-on, business-first AI role focused on applying existing tools to create real value.

If you love to figure things out, move fast, and use AI to make things better — we’d love to hear from you.
