Job Summary
The Business Development - Account Executive is responsible for driving growth within assigned specialty practice lines by generating, qualifying, and converting high-value leads into long-term clients. Reporting to the VP of Client Services, this role acts as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, bridging Marketing and Sales to deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each practice. This role requires proactive planning, strong consultative skills, and the ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to post-sale support.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted strategies to identify and acquire new clients within assigned practice lines (e.g.,ENT, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Surgery).
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their business objectives and aligning WRS EHR and related services to their needs.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads, conduct discovery calls, and deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with Marketing to align on campaign strategies, proposals, and pricing specific to the practice area.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in CRM platforms (e.g., Vtiger, HubSpot), ensuring data integrity and effective pipeline management.
- Convert qualified leads into sales opportunities and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Support the onboarding process and ensure a seamless handoff to the implementation and support teams.
- Gather and relay customer feedback and market insights to refine sales strategies and influence product development.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes within the assigned practice line to identify new opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports on sales pipeline, performance metrics, and market developments for leadership review.
- Represent the company at virtual events, conferences, and webinars relevant to the specialty practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in software sales, healthcare technology, or EHR solutions, with a focus on specialty practices.
- Demonstrated success in consultative/solution selling and managing the full sales cycle.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare market, practice workflows, and technology adoption trends.
- Proficient in CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Vtiger) and comfortable with data management.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for lead generation and market analysis is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events as needed.
This is an Independent Contractor position.

Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM EST or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST
