Duties & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a high-performing, strategic, and execution-oriented Business Development and Marketing Specialist to amplify our market position, elevate client experience, and drive measurable business growth. This role is ideal for a cross-functional leader who can bridge business development with brand strategy, combining data-driven marketing execution with compelling content creation and client-centric storytelling.

You will lead initiatives across client engagement, industry outreach, marketing infrastructure, and go-to-market strategies, while supporting the firm’s strategic growth goals in utility-scale renewables and engineering services. This is a unique opportunity to shape our market presence while implementing operationally sound marketing systems and thought leadership platforms.

Brand + Content Strategy

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive content strategy across digital and print channels, emphasizing voice consistency, technical storytelling, and thought leadership.
  • Create and oversee production of original content including case studies, blog posts, technical insights, newsletters, webinars, and video assets.
  • Execute a dedicated social media strategy, with a forward-looking content calendar aligned with industry trends, team updates, and thought leadership themes.
  • Coordinate content input from subject matter experts to translate technical concepts into compelling, accessible narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Develop tailored marketing materials and content for specialty services and emerging offerings.

Business Development + Industry Alignment

  • Lead coordination for industry conference participation, including abstract submissions, sponsorships, logistics, collateral development, and team briefing.
  • Oversee submissions for industry and revenue-based awards, in collaboration with leadership and project teams.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key industry organizations and working groups, ensuring firm representation and strategic alignment with sector trends.

Digital Strategy, Website, + SEO

  • Lead website performance strategy including content governance, structural audits, and regular updates to reflect evolving service lines and project work.
  • Manage SEO strategy and reporting, including keyword optimization, analytics tracking, and coordinated content deployment to maximize discoverability.
  • Coordinate website redesign projects and third-party vendor engagement as needed.

Client Experience + Engagement

  • Design and administer client experience surveys; synthesize results to support continuous improvement and business development follow-up.
  • Establish a standardized client appreciation framework, with scalable touchpoints tied to milestones and relationship development.

Marketing Operations + Data Management

  • Monitor performance metrics across website, social, and campaign channels; provide insights and adapt strategies for measurable improvement.
  • Support development of proposals, pursuit strategy materials, and project-specific presentations.
  • Ensure brand governance, visual consistency, and message clarity across all marketing and business development deliverables.
  • Support client services team and firm-wide business development and marketing initiatives, as needed.

Additional Duties Include:

  • Perform essential duties, including meeting deliverables and deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or closely related degree program.

  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in business development, marketing, or strategic communications, preferably in the AEC, renewables, infrastructure, or energy sectors.

  • Demonstrated expertise in B2B marketing strategy, client engagement, and content production.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in tailoring messages to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proficient with CMS platforms (e.g., Hubspot), marketing automation tools, and basic design applications (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva).

  • Strong understanding of website development (e.g., Squarespace), SEO, web performance analytics, and digital content performance metrics.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and work cross-functionally with executive stakeholders and subject matter experts.

  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems.

  • Ability to be both creative and analytical.

  • Detail-oriented and accurate.

  • Efficient time management – handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines.

  • Confident self-starter with a systems mindset and strong follow-through.

  • Proven experience as a cross-functional leader who can bridge business development with brand strategy, combining data-driven marketing execution with compelling content creation and client-centric storytelling.
