Job description

As a Manager of Business Intelligence, you will be a critical leader responsible for translating business goals into a technical vision and execution strategy for your domain. Specifically, you will lead our BI Growth Zone, a team dedicated to creating insights that fuel all aspects of Aledade’s growth, from marketing outreach to sales effectiveness. You will partner closely with senior leaders across the company—including Executive Leadership, Product, Technology, and Growth—to drive key company results and contribute directly to our strategic roadmap.

In this dynamic player-coach role, you will use your deep technical expertise to guide a team of BI professionals in building complex datasets, insightful data visualizations, and compelling data-driven narratives. You will be responsible for not only managing project execution but also for developing your people, fostering a healthy and productive team environment, and championing operational excellence. If you are a leader who thrives on turning data into strategy and is passionate about building high-performing teams, this is the perfect role for you.

Primary Duties

  • Develop & Mentor Your Team (25%): Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of individual contributors. Foster a respectful and supportive environment where team members can grow, providing regular feedback, career mentorship, and opportunities for development.
  • Drive Strategic Growth Impact (25%): Act as a key strategic partner to our Growth, Sales, and Marketing leadership. Translate evolving business needs into a clear technical roadmap, delivering analytics on the full customer journey, sales cycle, and marketing campaign effectiveness to drive company-wide key results.
  • Own the BI Vision & Roadmap (15%): Take full ownership of the BI roadmap and quarterly planning for your domain. Track and report on team OKRs, ensuring your team’s work is prioritized effectively and aligns with broader company goals.
  • Deliver Actionable Insights (15%): Oversee the development of interactive dashboards, executive-level reports, and presentations that clearly communicate insights and motivate action among internal teams and external partners.
  • Champion Excellence & Collaboration (20%): Lead your team in agile processes, anticipating and mitigating roadblocks. Strengthen data foundations by designing robust data models and promoting a “one team” mentality through cross-functional partnership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in business intelligence
  • 3+ years of managerial experience

Preferred KSA’s

  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and translate complex business needs into technical requirements and a strategic analytical roadmap.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and deep, hands-on experience with our modern data stack, including Snowflake (data warehousing), dbt (data transformation), and Tableau (data visualization).
  • Deep expertise in digital marketing and sales analytics, including customer journey analysis, sales cycle optimization, lead scoring, and marketing testing.
  • Hands-on experience generating insights from sales and marketing platforms such as Salesforce, Hubspot, and Gong.
  • Experience driving projects within an agile framework and managing team sprints and backlogs.
  • A deep understanding of data warehousing principles, data modeling concepts, and how to build scalable solutions.
  • Experience with healthcare data (e.g., medical claims, EHR) and an understanding of value-based care is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex information and influence a wide range of audiences.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.

Who We Are:

Aledade, a public benefit corporation, exists to empower the most transformational part of our health care landscape - independent primary care. We were founded in 2014, and since then, we’ve become the largest network of independent primary care in the country - helping practices, health centers and clinics deliver better care to their patients and thrive in value-based care. Additionally, by creating value-based contracts across a wide variety of health plans, we aim to flip the script on the traditional fee-for-service model. Our work strengthens continuity of care, aligns incentives and ensures primary care physicians are paid for what they do best - keeping patients healthy. If you want to help create a health care system that is good for patients, good for practices and good for society - and if you’re eager to join a collaborative, inclusive and remote-first culture - you’ve come to the right place.

What Does This Mean for You?

At Aledade, you will be part of a creative culture that is driven by a passion for tackling complex issues with respect, open-mindedness and a desire to learn. You will collaborate with team members who bring a wide range of experiences, interests, backgrounds, beliefs and achievements to their work - and who are all united by a shared passion for public health and a commitment to the Aledade mission.

In addition to time off to support work-life balance and enjoyment, we offer the following comprehensive benefits package designed for the overall well-being of our team members:

Flexible work schedules and the ability to work remotely are available for many roles

Health, dental and vision insurance paid up to 80% for employees, dependents and domestic partners

Robust time-off plan (21 days of PTO in your first year)

Two paid volunteer days and 11 paid holidays

12 weeks paid parental leave for all new parents

Six weeks paid sabbatical after six years of service

Educational Assistant Program and Clinical Employee Reimbursement Program

401(k) with up to 4% match

Stock options

And much more!

At Aledade, we don’t just accept differences, we celebrate them! We strive to attract, develop and retain highly qualified individuals representing the diverse communities where we live and work. Aledade is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Employment policies and decisions at Aledade are based on merit, qualifications, performance and business needs.
