THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Databricks COE (Center of Excellence) Leader, you will drive innovation, architecture, and adoption of Databricks’ data and AI platform across a diverse set of client engagements. You will provide technical leadership in solution design, performance optimization, and advanced analytics use cases, while also playing a pivotal role in strengthening our relationship with Databricks as a strategic partner. This role combines deep technical expertise with a passion for collaboration, thought leadership, and building influence within the Databricks partner ecosystem.

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

Solution Design & Delivery

  • Architect scalable data and AI solutions using Databricks, aligned with customer goals and industry best practices.
  • Lead high-impact engagements across data engineering, data science, and ML/AI workloads.
  • Ensure successful integration of Databricks within cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Build reference architectures, accelerators, and reusable assets for repeatable client success.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding business needs and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Lead POCs and client workshops to demonstrate Databricks capabilities and value.
  • Provide post-implementation support and guide customers through optimization and scale.
  • Participate and contribute to presales efforts and actively engage in discovery sessions with the client.

Databricks Partner Program Leadership

  • Act as the primary technical liaison for the Databricks partnership, driving joint GTM activities, solution alignment, and strategic initiatives.
  • Influence and shape the partner relationship by engaging in joint marketing, co-sell motions, roadmap alignment, and feedback loops.
  • Represent Wavicle in Databricks partner forums, technical communities, and summits.

Internal Enablement & Thought Leadership

  • Mentor internal teams on Databricks architecture, tools, and best practices.
  • Build internal capabilities through training programs, certifications, and knowledge sharing.
  • Publish blogs, whitepapers, or speak at events to establish thought leadership in the Databricks space.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related fields with significant hands-on expertise in Databricks.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), especially cloud-native services and security.
  • Strong skills in Python, Spark, and SQL for distributed data processing.
  • Understanding of ML lifecycle and experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Databricks certifications (e.g., Lakehouse Fundamentals, Data Engineer Associate/Professional, Machine Learning certifications).
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience in partner-facing roles or supporting ISV/partner alliances.
