Our client is a rapidly growing SaaS startup that’s revolutionizing the construction and building management industry through cutting-edge analytics. Their Building Information Management (BIM) analytics platform is transforming how organizations optimize their building operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. With existing revenue streams and an imminent seed round closing, they’re positioned for explosive growth and looking for their first true revenue leader to help them scale.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Chief Revenue Officer to join as the business’s founding revenue leader and build their sales organization from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to shape the entire go-to-market strategy, establish sales processes, and lead a team that will drive the next phase of growth. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to build something special while working with a product that already has market validation and paying customers.
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive revenue strategy aligned with company growth objectives
- Build scalable sales processes, methodologies, and systems from the ground up
- Establish key metrics, forecasting models, and reporting frameworks
- Partner with leadership team on pricing strategy, market positioning, and growth planning
Team Building & Management
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing sales team
- Create compensation plans, territory assignments, and quota structures
- Implement sales training programs and ongoing professional development
- Foster a results-driven, collaborative sales culture
Tactical Execution
- Personally close strategic deals and maintain relationships with key accounts
- Optimize the entire sales funnel from lead generation to customer success handoff
- Collaborate with marketing on demand generation and lead qualification
- Work closely with product team to influence roadmap based on market feedback
Experience & Background
- Director level or above with 8+ years in software sales leadership roles
- Proven track record of scaling sales organizations from early stage ($1M+) to significant revenue growth
- Deep experience in SaaS/B2B software sales environment
- Previous experience at high-growth startups preferred
Leadership & Skills
- Exceptional people leader with experience building and managing sales teams
- Strategic thinker who can also execute tactically and get hands dirty
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decisions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders
Industry Knowledge
Understanding of construction, real estate, or facilities management industries a plus
Experience selling to enterprise clients and navigating complex B2B sales cycles
Familiarity with BIM, PropTech, or analytics platforms preferred but not required
Base salary: $150,000 - $250,000 (based on experience)
On-target earnings (OTE): $300,000 - $500,000+ with uncapped commission potential
