About Smartcat

Smartcat is on a mission to become the wall-to-wall Language AI platform, addressing the diverse needs in multilingual content for various user personas within global enterprises.

Smartcat is uniquely positioned within the $100+ billion multilingual content industry, which is currently served by tens of thousands of agencies. This results in a highly fragmented and inefficient supply chain, high costs, unacceptable turnaround times, and quality issues. Using highly qualified internal resources to translate or create multilingual content (insourcing) solves the quality problem for enterprises, but if done manually, it can’t solve for scalability, high cost, and slow turnaround.

Smartcat changes the ROI equation in favor of insourcing with its Language AI platform for enterprise end-users. It delivers high-quality, instantaneous AI translations or generates new content in any language by tapping into a customer-specific multilingual content library. The AI output is further refined through human editing by the client’s internal reviewers or experts from the Smartcat’s embedded global marketplace of linguists and content editors. This AI output continuously improves through the editing feedback loop, ensuring consistent and customer-tailored results.

As our Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will play a pivotal role in scaling Smartcat from a growth-stage start-up to $500M+ ARR over the next five years, while transforming how the world’s largest enterprises scale globally and helping define the future of work in the shift toward human–AI collaboration.

Mission:

We’ve built one of the strongest inbound engines in enterprise software, generating thousands of net-new, verified logo sign-ups each quarter, including several hundred multibillion-dollar enterprises.

We’re continuously advancing our customer acquisition and expansion motions and adopting a more strategic approach to sales as we consistently close larger ACV deals with higher-level enterprise stakeholders. There’s still significant room for improvement on this path, and it presents a major opportunity to accelerate ARR.

Your mission is to ensure the company meets its ARR goals and maintains a high growth trajectory of over 100% ARR YoY for the next 3–5 years by implementing revenue strategies and building the most effective AI-powered revenue organization in the world.

Outcomes:

  • As a member of the executive team, contribute to defining the company’s strategy and OKRs, helping the company maximize its impact on the future of work and human-AI collaboration.
  • Help us effectively execute on 2025 ARR targets and sustain over 100% YoY ARR growth over the next 3–5 years.
  • Develop strategic outbound selling and expansion capabilities to support the Strategic Sales team in expanding our several hundred Fortune 1,000 customers to a $1M+ ARR in 2025 and continue rapidly increasing the share of such customers in our portfolio beyond 2025.
  • Develop and execute strategies to build the most effective AI-powered revenue organization in the world.
  • Continuously collaborate with product and marketing to refine and improve our product and GTM strategies.

How You’ll Ramp:

30 Days

  • Gain deep knowledge of Smartcat’s product, customers, go-to-market strategy and revenue operations.
  • Align with the executive team on the go-to-market priorities and OKRs.
  • Assess current revenue strategies and identify quick wins for immediate impact.

60 Days

  • Develop a data-driven revenue strategy focused on scaling enterprise adoption.
  • Strengthen alignment and efficient collaboration between Sales, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Revenue Operations and Sales Enablement. As well as cross-functional collaboration with Marketing and Product.
  • Suggest ideas and approaches to optimize sales processes, pricing and go-to-market motions to accelerate ARR growth.

90 Days & Beyond

  • Drive a high-performance, revenue-driven culture across all customer-facing teams.
  • Suggest a plan to accelerate transformation of Smartcat’s sales organization into the most effective AI-powered revenue organization in the world (as measured by net new ARR per an AE).
  • Establish key metrics and reporting structures for continuous improvement and optimization.

Requirements:

  • Proven success as a CRO or senior revenue leader in a high-growth AI-first or AI-powered enterprise software company from a growth stage ($10-30M) to $100M+ ARR.
  • Deep understanding and successful experience of upgrading sales processes and culture from transactional to strategic selling to high-level stakeholders in large enterprises
  • A strong track record in building and leading world-class Sales, CS, SE and RevOps teams on a global basis.
  • Strong interest and personal enthusiasm for how AI can boost the productivity and effectiveness of customer-facing teams, with an aspiration to build an AI-powered blueprint for a revenue organization that is 5–10x more productive than what was previously possible.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, scaling 100%+ YoY.
