The Client Manager, Leisure – USA is responsible for developing, maintaining and growing the Transient/FIT revenue generated by owned accounts, while actively identifying and converting new business opportunities across the U.S. market.
This role combines strategic account management with a strong focus on business development. We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial and results-driven professional who thrives in building and expanding relationships within the luxury travel landscape. A natural hunter, the ideal candidate is curious, analytical, and proactive — someone who can map market potential, craft smart growth strategies, and execute with consistency and excellence.
The Client Manager is expected to work with autonomy and ownership, while remaining aligned with Belmond’s global sales vision. A solid commercial mindset, strong organizational discipline, and passion for travel are key to success in this role.
This position is accountable for meeting established revenue targets for each Belmond property or group of properties, as defined by personal KPIs. Assigned territories, markets, industry segments, and owned accounts are subject to change with four weeks’ notice, depending on business needs and evolving market conditions.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Develop a detailed quarterly sales action plan and annual account management plan aimed at achieving and exceeding revenue generation goals for each Account and submit to the direct manager for approval.
· Maintain a frequent personal contact with all property-based sales personnel to ensure product knowledge is always up to date and complete alignment of sales strategies.
· Establish a close collaboration with all property sales, revenue management and reservations teams and lead all closing efforts from generated transient leads.
· Qualify all transient sales leads and conduct necessary follow through to secure new bookings that fit with the parameters of “desirable” business.
· Analyse and evaluate accounts transient productivity (past, current and future) to ensure individual Customer targets are met.
· Establish and nurture a partnership relationship with all key contacts, decision makers, bookers and influencers within every owned Account.
· Conduct product training to Customers on a regular basis to ensure Belmond remains front-of-mind at all times.
· Host customer events with select key accounts throughout the year.
· Communicate all seasonal promotions for the global Belmond portfolio to support all properties achieving their budgeted revenue, especially in shoulder seasons.
· Make full use of all selling, negotiating and closing tools to increase conversion ratio from the assigned territory and account platform.
· Assist Sr. Client Director with the organization of annual roadshows, strategic partners’ sales events, and Belmond presence to relevant trade shows.
· Plan regular Customers educational trips to key Belmond destinations as defined in the quarterly / annual sales action plan, and escort these trips if necessary.
· Attend relevant industry functions and meetings to ensure the Company’s brand is properly represented.
· Establish and maintain relationships with industry colleagues including tourism boards, airlines, DMCs, etc.
· Provide feedback and information about latest market conditions and newest trends to the direct manager.
· Execute an ongoing prospecting plan, adding new active customers to the portfolio of managed Accounts.
· Master usage of all available BI tools provided by Belmond, and implement a regular strategic analysis of markets, properties and account performance.
· Maintain a clean database of all owned accounts and contacts within, with all sales activities promptly logged into OSC.
· Manage expenses through tight control, maintain annual costs within allocated resources.
· Prepare all production, account management and other sales reports as requested by the direct manager.
· Maintain a proactive role in social media and support the Corporate Marketing communications plan.
· Attend and actively contribute to regular sales meetings organized by the Divisional Director of Sales, or by the London Corporate team, or by the direct manager.

What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a business or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in luxury sales (any segment).
- Strong understanding of the travel industry, with a global mindset and personal travel experience that demonstrates cultural awareness and curiosity.
- Proven ability to develop, maintain and grow relationships with key accounts in the luxury segment.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
- Strong prospecting and business development capabilities.
- High travel availability; this role requires frequent domestic and occasional international travel.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite and solid understanding of CRM platforms and their strategic use in client management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Confident public speaker, capable of representing and promoting the brand with professionalism and charisma.
- Fluency in a second language (preferably a Latin language such as Portuguese or Spanish) is a plus.
While this position is remote, it does require the individual to reside in Florida.
