About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in AWS to join our fast-growing team at Nivoda. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, and improve our CI/CD pipelines using industry-leading tools such as AWS, Terraform, Terragrunt, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-native solutions that support Nivoda’s rapid growth. Your work will ensure the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure, enabling us to deliver an exceptional experience to our customers.

About Us

Nivoda is revolutionizing the global jewelry industry with its innovative B2B marketplace, offering seamless purchasing and operational efficiency for jewelers worldwide. Operating from major cities like London, New York, Hong Kong, and Mumbai, we are driving innovation in a traditionally offline industry. Join us as we scale globally, embrace bold challenges, and build cutting-edge cloud infrastructure to support our rapid growth.

What You’ll Do

  • AWS Infrastructure Management: Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-optimized AWS infrastructure, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPCs, and more.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt, ensuring consistent, repeatable, and automated provisioning.

  • CI/CD Pipeline Optimization: Design, automate, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and ArgoCD for seamless, GitOps-driven application deployments.

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Build and manage containerized applications using Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes, ensuring smooth orchestration and scaling of cloud-native services.

  • Serverless Architecture: Develop and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda and related services to enable cost-efficient and highly responsive systems.

  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Set up proactive monitoring using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure or application issues promptly to ensure high availability.

  • Security & Compliance: Enforce AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, VPC configurations, and security group management, to safeguard cloud resources.

  • Collaboration & Support: Work with engineering, operations, and security teams to adopt best practices, troubleshoot production issues, and streamline operational workflows.

  • Cloud Cost Optimization: Analyze AWS usage patterns and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising performance or scalability.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps roles.

    • Expertise in infrastructure automation using Terraform and Terragrunt.

    • Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

  • Skills:

    • Advanced knowledge of AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, and more.

    • Proficiency with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes management.

    • Hands-on experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD and application packaging with Helm.

    • Strong scripting abilities (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate workflows.

    • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, ELK stack, Prometheus).

    • Solid understanding of IAM, networking (VPCs, subnets, routing), and security best practices.

  • Preferred:

    • Experience with serverless architectures on AWS (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).

    • Knowledge of cloud cost management strategies and tools.

    • Familiarity with microservices architecture and managing large-scale distributed systems.

    • Experience in Agile methodologies and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.

Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)

  1. Cloud Infrastructure Excellence: Maintain 99.99% uptime for AWS-based production systems with robust monitoring and fault-tolerant architectures.

  2. CI/CD Efficiency: Decrease deployment times by 30% through enhanced automation and pipeline optimization.

  3. Automation & IaC: Achieve 90% infrastructure automation coverage using Terraform and Terragrunt.

  4. Cost Optimization: Reduce AWS costs by 15% through resource optimization and scaling strategies.

  5. Security & Compliance: Adhere to AWS security best practices and maintain compliance with relevant industry standards.

What You’ll Get
