Job description

About us:

Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.

What You’ll Be Doing:

The Contract Management Associate will be a key member of the Contract Management & Implementation (CM&I) Team within Insurance Operations. This role will manage high-impact payor contracts, drive process improvements, and act as a subject matter expert on payor contract management and implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payor contract and fee schedule management with experience managing and developing payor relationships. Additionally, the candidate will have a proven ability to enhance and streamline operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management and Implementation:

  • Own the implementation of newly executed payor contract data, ensuring all relevant contract details are captured and maintained accurately within internal systems.
  • Drive implementation of best practices for contract review, organization, and documentation of newly executed contracts to ensure payor compliance.
  • Provide guidance to other team members on interpreting complex contractual language and any reimbursement structure ambiguity to ensure that Grow is able to maximize collections for newly launched payors.
  • Proactively lead audits of existing payors for missing information and to validate accuracy for internal and cross-functional use.
  • Maintain accurate LinkSquares Governing Summaries by proactively seeking and loading new payor files (contracts, provider manuals, payor newsletters, reimbursement policies, etc.).
  • Resolve complex rate discrepancies, collect missing fee schedules, and address incorrect payor data elements in a promptly manner.

Payor Communication and Coordination:

  • Serve as a primary liaison for payor contract escalations, ensuring issues related to payor networks or reimbursement discrepancies are addressed efficiently.
  • Work closely with internal teams to proactively flag potential payor compliance issues and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain and optimize our payor contact list, ensuring accessibility and accuracy across teams.

Rate Management & Optimization:

  • Lead efforts to document, analyze, and optimize rate management processes for improved accuracy and revenue optimization.
  • Implement a quality control process to ensure all uploaded rates align with contract terms and regulatory requirements.
  • Own the rate discrepancy process to identify and correct any issues caused by process errors.
  • Work cross functionally to communicate any rate compliance issues not associated with load errors.

Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Drive key initiatives related to contract execution, rate implementation, and payor partnerships, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with RCM, Payor Success, and Strategic Partnerships teams to optimize workflows and enhance payor contract outcomes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on process and strategy improvements.

The salary range for this position is $90,845 - $118,000 USD (dependent on geo location).

You’ll Be a Good Fit If:

  • 3+ years of experience in insurance operations, contract management, or payor relations within a healthcare setting.
  • Deep understanding of insurance contracts, payor fee schedules, provider reimbursement models, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to review, interpret, and improve rate management processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage directly with payors, internal teams, and leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve rate inconsistencies, contract misinterpretations, and implementation gaps.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive, CODA, JIRA, Slack, Retool, and other contract management tools.
