Job description
A Managed Services Data Entry Clerk has the knowledge to assist in daily accounting tasks. The position requires the ability to work independently and in teams. Clerks are often responsible for completing parts of projects or activities as part of a team. They must also be client-oriented and able to explore sales activities.
A Data Entry Clerk should have a wide knowledge of automated accounting systems. They must be able to process accounting tasks on behalf of clients and communicate effectively with clients to ensure deliverables are completed on time. Accounting tasks may include but are not limited to: Accounts Payable processing, Accounts Receivable processing, Invoicing, Timesheet and Expense processing, and account reconciliations.

Develop and maintain internal and client-facing documentation, user guides, and templates
Adaptable to learn new skills and modules as directed by the Manager
Required Experience/Skills
Proven experience as an accounting specialist or equivalent position
Highly motivated and self-directed work ethic
Aptitude in creative problem-solving
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical mind with excellent data collection and analysis skills
Must be willing to work occasional nights and weekends if required
The job is remote and may require some travel
Preferred Experience/Skills
- 2+ years of experience with automated accounting systems
Education/Certifications
AS/AA in business administration or relevant field preferred, although years of experience will be considered in lieu of Associate’s degree
Ability to become certified within 1 year of employment dependent upon the assigned role
Accounts Payable, Billing & Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Projects

Physical Requirements
Consistently requires sitting or standing for a majority of the day to complete essential job duties on the computer and telephone
Consistently requires auditory abilities to efficiently listen and effectively communicate with clients, vendors and staff to carry out essential job duties
Occasionally requires standing to scan, print and copy job related documents to carry out job duties
Occasional overnight travel by land and/or air may be necessary
