About your Team

You’ll be part of Adthena’s Product team, working with the very best AI specialists in London. The team members all share a passion for user-centric design and harnessing the power of data to find innovative solutions to customer problems.

We are fanatically focused on the areas where we can make the most difference for our customers and our business. Everything we build is tied to and measured by the value and outcome it brings our users and buyers, as well as its impact on our objectives.

Figuring out what we need to build and prioritising when we build it is a core responsibility. We bring the vision and context to empower great decisions for our search marketing clients, so we focus on posing the right questions that will enable us to discover the most innovative and valuable solutions. This involves ensuring that potential risks are mitigated such as value, feasibility, usability and viability risks.

We believe in a collaborative partnership where Product focuses on customer and business outcomes, while Engineering, Design and Data Science focus on how we get there. Product’s main role in execution is to be the voice of the market and make sure we achieve what we set out to do by being the glue that binds teams together. We communicate the “who, what, why and when” to the company and work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure our customers’ success.

What you’ll do at Adthena

As a Product Manager for the Data and Data Science team, you will work closely with the business, customers and technology teams to understand the challenges that need solving and their priorities.

You’ll be responsible for owning the data team and Data Science backlog, as well as innovating new ideas to improve performance, accuracy and costs of Adthena data, the distributed ETL and the use of data science.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Lead the evolution of the product vision and strategy for Adthena’s data platform and services, ensuring strong alignment with the company’s overarching strategic objectives and market opportunities.

  • Shape, plan, and prioritize the data team’s backlog focusing on the performance, architecture, and cost of delivery of our data services.

  • Drive the development and ownership of a comprehensive data product roadmap, proactively identifying and prioritizing key initiatives based on deep technical understanding, business viability analysis, and anticipated significant time-to-impact.

  • Act as a key evangelist for the product vision across the organization, effectively communicating strategic rationale and ensuring buy-in from senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Work with CTO and TAs to coordinate, prioritize, and plan the work of the Data and Data Science teams.

Product Development & Execution

  • Translate complex data infrastructure, data pipeline, and data science needs into well-defined, actionable product requirements and user stories, driving clarity and consensus across engineering, design, and data science.

  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for significant data capabilities and platform features, from strategic ideation through detailed execution, launch, and continuous iteration, ensuring high-quality delivery.

  • Work with the Data and Data Science teams to provide product management support around backlog creation, prioritization, and GTM activities.

  • Serve as the expert product owner for the data engineering team, providing clear direction, managing the backlog with a focus on delivering incremental value, and fostering a collaborative, agile environment.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the development process, unblocking teams and ensuring timely delivery.

Market & Internal Customer Focus

  • Champion internal customer-centricity, leading in-depth research to uncover latent needs from product teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders, identifying emerging opportunities in data capabilities.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., product managers, data scientists, engineers) and strategic partners, conducting advanced user research, interviews, and feedback sessions to validate hypotheses and ensure data-centric solutions.

  • Become the recognized domain expert in Adthena’s data and data science architectures and models, demonstrating a profound and continually expanding knowledge of our data landscape, intricate internal customer problems, and relevant technologies.

  • Provide consultancy and collaboration with the other PMs as they plan features that have dependencies on data capabilities, working closely with architects and engineers.

  • Work with marketing and support teams to successfully bring Data features to market via the company’s GTM process.

  • Synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights that directly inform product strategy and prioritization.

Product Ownership & Performance

  • Take full ownership of strategic objectives and a significant data platform area, bearing ultimate responsibility for achieving defined business and internal customer outcomes.

  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of data product initiatives, focusing on performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency, deriving insights for continuous improvement.

  • Establish and report on user success benchmarks using advanced usage statistics, analytics platforms, and structured customer feedback, driving data-informed decisions.

  • Identify and proactively address potential areas for data platform optimization and growth.

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Drive highly effective collaboration with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, Data, Data Science, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support and Customer Success, fostering a culture of shared ownership and excellence.

  • Facilitate and lead ideation sessions to uncover innovative solutions to complex data management, data delivery, and data consumption challenges, ensuring alignment with technological feasibility and business goals.

  • Communicate complex product updates, progress, and strategic rationale clearly and persuasively to diverse internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.

Industry Awareness

  • Keep up-to-date with market developments in data engineering, data instrumentation, data lake, and data validation paradigms in the MarTech / AdTech industries.

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of the latest trends, technologies, and competitive landscape within data platforms, big data technologies, and data governance, proactively identifying opportunities and threats.
