WRITER is seeking an experienced Director of public relations to drive our PR strategy and execution. As we scale, every product launch, corporate milestone, partnership, and technical breakthrough has an outsized impact on our reputation. Reporting into WRITER’s Head of Communications, you will be the storyteller who translates business, product, partnership, and engineering achievements into compelling narratives for CIOs, CxOs, influencers, and the world’s most influential tech and business media.

We’re looking for a fast-moving, energetic communications pro with a strong background in B2B SaaS PR, a deep understanding of the AI industry, and a proven track record of executing successful PR campaigns, launches, and announcements. You’re skilled at crafting deeply relevant narratives that are aligned with internal goals and external news cycles. You can transform the most complex technical topics into simple, sticky soundbites. You can deftly engage new and traditional media to reach target audiences. And you’re voracious in your ability to stay up to date on the latest developments in the AI industry.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive, cross-channel PR strategies to enhance WRITER’s brand visibility and reputation in the tech and AI sectors.

  • Plan and execute PR activities around product launches, company milestones, partnerships, and industry events. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution.

  • Ensure our whip-smart PR agency understands the latest and greatest innovations and achievements coming from the company and fuel their work through internal storymining, asset creation, and advocate development.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers in the AI and business media landscape. Pitch stories, secure placements, and manage media inquiries.

  • Craft compelling press releases, thought leadership articles, social posts, and other PR materials that highlight WRITER’s innovative solutions and industry expertise.

  • Identify, engage, and activate key industry influencers to amplify WRITER’s message.

  • Track and analyze PR metrics to measure the impact of campaigns and provide insights for continuous improvement.

  • Work closely with the marketing, EPD, and executive teams to align PR efforts with overall business goals and messaging.

Is this you?

  • 10+ years of experience in public relations, with experience in tech and product PR.

  • Experience driving results in a high-growth B2B SaaS startup environment preferred, experience marketing to IT a plus

  • Deep understanding of the AI and technology landscape, including emerging trends and key players.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and articulate complex ideas clearly.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, and industry stakeholders, as well as internal executives and SMEs.

  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute effective PR campaigns.

  • Creative approach to integrated storytelling across channels to drive business goals.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously on tight deadlines.

  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work effectively across different departments and levels of the organization.
