Job Title: E-commerce General Manager
Location: Remote
Reports To: Bree Jones
Work Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Full-time)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly versatile E-commerce General Manager to report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and support the launch of a home goods and real estate product line and business. The General Manager will oversee the research, strategy, implementation, and operational management of 3-4 distinct products and business concepts. This role requires a proactive leader who is adept in a range of skills from bookkeeping to project management, and who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Research
- Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. This includes gathering data on potential customers, competitors, and market conditions.
- Product Research and Design: Conduct feasibility studies for new product lines and business concepts, and the requirements for production. Assist in the design of the products and business concepts.
- Vendor and Supplier Research: Source and evaluate potential manufacturers, vendors and suppliers to find the best quality, service, and price for product components or services required.
Strategy Formulation
- Business Strategy Development: With the market research conducted, develop strategic plans on how we will procure and manufacture the new products, and the project roadmap.
- Product Strategy: Create strategies for product development, launch, and lifecycle management. Determine pricing, distribution, and promotional strategies.
Implementation and Execution
- Project Management: Oversee the implementation of the product strategy through effective project management. This includes setting timelines, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Operational Processes: Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards in every aspect of the business.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage technology for business efficiency, such as utilizing e-commerce platforms like Shopify for online sales, Klaviyo for consumer analytics, or adopting project management tools.
Oversight and Management
Team Leadership: Manage and lead our vendors, ensuring that all members are motivated, engaged, and well-informed of their responsibilities and the company’s objectives.
Financial Oversight: Monitor the financial health of the business, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial reporting.
Quality Control: Ensure that all products and services meet the required standards and continuously seek improvements in quality and performance.
Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including investors, partners, and customers to keep them informed and involved in relevant decisions.
Growth and Expansion: Plan for the scaling of business operations, exploring new markets or segments for expansion, and strategizing on entering new verticals.
Strong drop shipping experience
Strong Shopify and Klaviyo experience, setting up and managing online stores
Product creation, sourcing suppliers
Fluent English speaking and writing
