We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Payments Lead to our team! We are seeking a practical problem solver, proactive and process-oriented lead. You thrive in high-volume environments, stay calm through ambiguity, and know how to keep a team motivated through change.

In this leadership role, you will oversee payment operations for both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), managing the end-to-end recording and application of transactions while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all processes.

DEPARTMENT: G&A, Accounting

LOCATION: Remote anywhere in Brazil

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Serve as a mentor and escalation point, guiding your team through high-volume cash application and disbursement workflows, while fostering development and ownership.
  • Operational Ownership: Oversee the full lifecycle of cash application, from receipt to resolution, driving consistency, speed, and accuracy in our payment processes.
  • Backlog Management: Take the lead on resolving our large backlog of unapplied transactions, coordinating investigations and clean-up efforts across functions.
  • Customer Coordination: Implement workflows for proactively reaching out to customers when remittance data is missing or unclear, minimizing application delays.
  • Metric Ownership: Monitor and improve KPIs like time to apply daily cash, monthly unapplied volume, and remittance response times.
  • Process Innovation: Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation or SOP improvements, building scalable solutions for a fast-growing business.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years in financial operations, with a focus on AR, AP, or cash application
  • Managing or supporting high-volume payment processes
  • Working with ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
  • Using Excel and Google Workspace for tracking and analysis
  • Solving operational issues and improving payment workflows
  • Communicating clearly across teams and with customers
  • English skills, including speaking, you will work with native English speakers daily.
