Founding Faculty

at CampusEdu

Job description

About Campus

Campus is on a mission to accelerate the talent of tomorrow and reimagine what college can (and should) be. The problem is clear: college costs have skyrocketed, but outcomes haven’t. Traditional college hasn’t kept up with the aspirations of today’s students—and they can’t afford to wait.

At Campus, we’ve built a two-year, accredited college where students learn from top professors at universities like Princeton, Stanford, and Howard, in live, online classes. Our students graduate with in-demand business and AI skills—ready to launch their careers or transfer to top four-year universities. Our unique approach is grounded in a pioneering technology platform and a heavily-researched student success model that offers students dedicated advisors and on-demand tutoring and coaching. We were also named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2024.

We’re backed by an exceptional investor team that believes deeply in our vision for the future of education, including General Catalyst, Founders Fund, Bloomberg Beta, 8VC, Rethink Education, Sam Altman, Jason Citron, Shaquille O’Neal, and others.

The world has changed. Higher ed needs to catch up, and we’re leading the way - come join us!

About the Role

Campus is seeking a founding faculty member to co-develop and teach Vibe Coding 101, the first course in a new certificate and degree pathway focused on AI-native software development. This individual will play a critical role in launching a first-of-its-kind program in partnership with Replit and other leading industry partners.

This is a contract role through Fall 2025 to support curriculum development and course launch, with the opportunity to transition into a long-term part-time teaching role, and ultimately help shape a full associate degree program in AI-powered software development.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the future of programming, thrives at the intersection of computer science and AI, and is excited to build for a non-traditional student audience.

This is a project-based contract role until launch, that will become a PT hourly role post-launch. You will report to the VP of Academic Operations.

Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Co-develop the Vibe Coding 101 curriculum with Campus and Replit’s education team
  • Design accessible, engaging lessons that blend Python fundamentals with AI-assisted development.
  • Lead weekly 2–3 hour live classes starting October 2025 via Campus’s virtual platform
  • Provide asynchronous support through office hours, project feedback, and mentorship
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and instructional designers to deliver a high-quality experience
  • Adapt course content in response to student needs and real-time platform updates
  • Participate in program strategy conversations as the foundation for a broader degree pathway

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Master’s or Above Preferred
  • Teaching experience at a leading university or bootcamp
  • Experience using or teaching AI tools in software development (e.g., Replit, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT)
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to design beginner-friendly learning experiences
  • Excitement about working with non-traditional learners and career changers

Nice to Have

  • Graduate degree in CS, Engineering, or Education
  • Experience at a top-tier academic institution or a cutting-edge bootcamp
  • Background in curriculum development or project-based pedagogy
  • Startup mindset: comfort with building fast, iterating, and adapting

We’re Excited About You Because You…

  • Are an enthusiastic communicator with a passion for teaching and mentoring
  • Have a deep understanding of modern software development workflows
  • Have the ability to translate technical concepts into simple, engaging instruction
  • Are a collaborative team player open to feedback and co-creation
  • Are committed to equity, access, and the future of workforce-aligned education

Compensation

  • $2,000 stipend for course design and curriculum development (contract basis)
  • $8,000 for teaching Vibe Coding 101 during the Fall 2025 term (10 weeks), Part-Time
  • Additional compensation opportunities for future courses and curriculum expansion

Benefits

  • Flexible Scheduling: Teach from anywhere in the US and choose teaching terms that fit your availability.
  • Professional Growth: Access exclusive training on online teaching best practices, learning design, and equitable instruction.
  • Collaborative Faculty Network: Join a community of educators from top-tier institutions committed to student success and innovation in higher ed.
  • Teaching Assistant Support: Work alongside trained Teaching Assistants who help manage grading and student check-ins.
  • Mission-Aligned Work: Make a direct impact on high-quality education for historically underserved students.
  • Streamlined Tech & Admin Support: Benefit from Campus’s all-in-one platform (Campuswire) and a dedicated Academic Operations team to handle logistics, so you can focus on teaching.
