Fraud Data Analyst II
Location: US, Remote
Job Summary
Fraud Data Analysts play a critical role in building the next generation of identity verification authentication products that enforce accurate decisioning. This will include working with Fraud Strategy Analysts to investigate fraud, assisting with analyzing and rolling out new policy updates. They will also be engaged in testing new concepts to close fraud trends. There will be a need to create and maintain dashboards for monitoring policy performance as well as specific fraud threat trends across all clients. Documentation updates will need to be maintained to build a knowledge base to support education of fraud threats and trends.
You will work closely with the Fraud Strategy Analysts, Product, Data Partnerships, Revenue, and Engineering teams to refine products that directly impact customer experiences. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of identity verification and help us achieve our mission of creating a state-of-the-art frictionless authentication platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze submitted fraud data against the Global Fraud Policy (GFP) to determine fraud capture and friction rates.
- Identify new fraud mitigation techniques within existing Prove products.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to assess the potential impact of new and updated GFP criteria on existing clients.
- Support Fraud Strategy Analysts and collaborate with Data Partnerships to evaluate third-party products and solutions to address emerging fraud trends.
- Develop and maintain fraud detection and data analysis techniques.
- Collaborate with Product & Engineering to optimize, automate, and accelerate data analysis techniques.
- Generate and maintain reports and/or dashboards to track fraud metrics and performance against both the GFP and “fraud table”.
- Improve, monitor, and maintain the ticketing process for data analysis requests as well as report statistics on how quickly they are worked and completed
- Create and maintain documentation around fraud threats and trends to build a knowledgebase to help educate internal resources.
- Analyze data, summarize and report results to clients and stakeholders
- Communicate effectively and set realistic external expectations

Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 - 5 years of experience in Product as a business or support data analyst. Having experience in Fraud is a plus!
- Self-starter with the ability to learn new technologies
- Strong software development principles to build automated solutions
- Knowledge of fraud threats and types a plus
- Exceptional analytical, evaluative, and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others, including various levels of management
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask, prioritize
- Knowledge of Testing/troubleshooting RESTFul APIs through API platform software (e.g., PostMan)
- BS degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience with creating dashboards in Looker or similar business intelligence tool
- Knowledge of Splunk, SQL and/or relational databases
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum Methodology

The anticipated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 plus company bonus. The offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, geo-location and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
