About the role
We are looking for Head of Engineering to lead our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction, improving engineering processes, and building a high-performing team culture that delivers reliable, scalable, and high-quality software. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our platform and drive technical excellence—especially as we launch a new computer vision sub-project.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our systems by implementing robust architectures and engineering practices.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Drive a remote-first engineering culture, creating a collaborative and inclusive environment that supports geographically distributed teams.
Own delivery timelines and resource planning, ensuring timely execution without compromising quality.
Collaborate closely with product management to align engineering efforts with product goals and roadmap.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Represent the engineering team in executive meetings, providing insights, updates, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Have an open-minded and inclusive in your work style
10+ years of experience in engineering, with at least +3 years in leadership roles.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field experience.
Experience managing and leading engineering teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration and professional growth.
Deep understanding of software engineering best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the financial industry is a plus.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
