Head of Sales- Financial Services and M&A

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: This position offers a base salary ranging from $75,000.00-$80,000.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, the role is eligible for a generous performance-based bonus plan, with on-target earnings typically between $125,000.00 and $150,000.00+.

Location: Remote digital office. Must be U.S.-based. Team members are expected to be camera-ready, responsive, and highly communicative during the workday. We maintain a strong, collaborative culture through regular virtual engagement, shared tools, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. The role requires working from a dedicated home office environment. Public or shared workspaces are not acceptable. Candidates must have a reliable internet connection, a quiet workspace, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working remotely. Minimal travel may be required for conference, attendance and company events.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a high-performing sales leader with a background in wealth management, investment advisory, M&A, or consultative financial services. As Head of Sales at Bainbridge, you will lead and develop a team of high potential sales professionals focused on identifying and securing strategic acquisition opportunities for our private equity clients. You will build on existing systems, implement performance processes, and drive outcomes through smart coaching and structured oversight. In addition to leading the sales function, you will also provide light supervision and alignment for supporting teams to ensure the full revenue engine runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing financial services sales team.
  • Set and monitor team goals, KPI’s, and performance benchmarks aligned with company growth targets.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, training sessions, one-on -ones, and performance evaluations.
  • Lead and enhance existing sales training and development program, ensuring team members are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to succeed.
  • Improve CRM usage, prospecting, workflows, and reporting.
  • Participate in key prospect meetings as needed, to support closing efforts.
  • Help recruit, onboard, and ramp new sales team members.
  • Collaborate with leadership on departmental coordination.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and scalable systems.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, confidentiality, and client, communication standards.
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging sales tools.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree from accredited college or university in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field required. MBA a plus, but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least two years in a team leadership or managerial role.
  • Background in Financial Services, M&A, or B2b professional services, strongly preferred.
  • Solid track record of coaching and developing early-to mid-career sales talent.
  • Experience with structured sales processes or professional sales training is a strong plus.
  • Strong command of metrics, forecasting, CRM tools, and performance accountability.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a clear and composed leadership presence.
  • High level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment.
  • Able to foster trust, encourage team growth, and work cross-functionally with transparency and respect.

This is a digital office position and team members are expected to treat their remote set up with the same professionalism as an in-office environment. We are a performance-driven team and rely on clear communication and accountability. To be successful in this role, the following are required:

  • A dedicated home office or private workspace. Public spaces are not suitable for day-to-day work due to confidentiality and focus requirements.
  • A stable high-speed Internet connection that supports video competing in business applications.
  • Camera-ready for regular MS Teams meetings.
  • Active participation during business hours, with responsiveness and full engagement expected throughout the workday.
