About The Role ๐Ÿค”

At Immutable, security is at the core of what we do. As the Head of Security and IT, you will unify and lead Enterprise Security, Detection and Response, Identity and Access, Application Security, and Enterprise IT. You will drive a security strategy that balances risk reduction with operational efficiency, leveraging automation, AI, and intelligence-driven decision-making.

This is a leadership role that requires a strong mix of hands-on technical expertise and people management. You will be responsible for leading a world class team, setting strategic security priorities, and ensuring the integrity of Immutableโ€™s technology ecosystem across web2 and web3.

  • Define and execute a security strategy that integrates enterprise security, detection and response, IT security, and application security
  • Build and improve security controls by leveraging intelligence, adversary simulations, incidents, and metrics to incrementally enhance security across applications, endpoints, cloud, and blockchain
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of security professionals, ensuring they are aligned, motivated, and empowered to deliver impact
  • Develop and implement automation strategies that enable a small but highly effective team to operate at scale
  • Own and drive incident response capabilities, ensuring rapid and effective threat detection and response
  • Manage enterprise IT security, identity and access, and detection and response functions to create a cohesive security ecosystem
  • Leverage AI and security automation to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency

We’d Love You To Bring ๐Ÿค

  • Proven experience leading security teams, ideally in a startup or scale-up environment
  • Deep technical expertise in security operations, detection & response, and application security.
  • A strong strategic mindset, with the ability to define and execute a multi-layered security strategy
  • Hands-on experience in security automation, using Python, Golang, or similar languages
  • Experience handling significant security incidents and developing resilient response strategies
  • A pragmatic approach to security, balancing security effectiveness with business priorities
  • Familiarity with cloud-native security principles, including AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and SaaS security
  • A track record of delivering security outcomes through automation, reducing reliance on manual processes
