Job Overview:

The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing hosting platforms in both CLS hosted and AWS cloud environments. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the design meet CLS architectural principles and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

β€’ Ability to author High Level Solution Design, Solutions overview and conceptual architecture documents.

β€’ Design and architect AWS cloud solutions based on business requirements.

β€’ Develop and document architecture blueprints and best practices.

β€’ Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

β€’ Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.

β€’ Plan migration of on-premises applications to AWS.

β€’ Optimize existing AWS infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.

β€’ Cloud Security and Continuous Compliance:

β€’ Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard AWS environments.

β€’ Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

β€’ Monitor and optimize the performance of AWS resources.

β€’ Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align cloud solutions with business goals.

β€’ Provide technical guidance to team members and stakeholders.

β€’ Optimize AWS costs through effective resource utilization and budget management.

β€’ Recommend cost-saving strategies and identify opportunities for efficiency.

β€’ Stay updated on AWS services, features, and best practices.

β€’ Share knowledge with the team and contribute to the organization’s learning culture.

Qualifications:

β€’ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

β€’ Proven experience designing and implementing AWS solutions.

β€’ AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are highly desirable.

β€’ Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, principles, and best practices.

β€’ Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell).

β€’ Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

β€’ Knowledge of networking concepts and security principles.

β€’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

β€’ Experience with serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda).

β€’ Knowledge of compute virtualization and hypervisors.

β€’ Knowledge of Operating systems (Windows and Linux)

β€’ Knowledge of containers and container management platforms.

β€’ Knowledge of networking design and principles i both public cloud and traditional data center

β€’ Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

β€’ Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures.

β€’ Experience with AWS monitoring and logging tools.

β€’ Ability to assess and recommend third-party tools and services to complement AWS offerings.

β€’ Knowledge of 3rd party storage and firewall desired.

β€’ Knowledge of organizational structure within AWS, landing zone and control tower is required.

β€’ Stakeholder management.

β€’ Knowledge of cloud security.
