Job Overview
We are looking for an Infrastructure Architect who will join our Technology team to help manage our complex infrastructure landscapeโshaped by broad geography, multiple regulations, a fast-growing number of leads, and active in-house product developmentโby collaborating with IT and Business teams to ensure scalable, efficient growth through deep expertise in AWS services, cloud architecture, infrastructure optimization, cost management, and strategic planning.
- Working experience of 3+ years as Cloud Architect or Infrastructure Architect;
- Practical experience with AWS and K8s;
- Strong background in designing architecture and modern application platforms (microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, data pipelines, etc.);
- Ability to determine system reliability and performance problems and discover, validate, and offer solutions;
- Clear communication skills & the ability to build strong business relationships; experience in negotiation at a high level;
- Good documentation writing skills (specification, policy, requirements, instructions, roadmap);
- Long-term (strategic) thinking;
- Ability to communicate effectively in English is required
- Practical experience with other public clouds (GCP, Azure) and on-prem;
- Understanding network engineering;
- Understanding of EA frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SEI Software Architecture, SAFe Architect);
- Understanding of general software development processes within the Agile framework (Scrum, SAFe);
- Practical experience in building and maintaining medium-big-sized (~ 1k+ components with several thousand deployments in multiple regions) distributed architecture for mission-critical tasks;
- Experience in budgeting, contract management, software asset management, and CMDB tools
Responsibilities
Develop and enforce infrastructure policies, standards, and best practices to improve the processes with the target of optimal infrastructure utilization, software reliability and performance.
Plan and supervise execution of complex infrastructure migrations.
Implement tools and processes (e.g., FinOps) to improve monitoring and forecasting of infrastructure expenses, with cost allocation to the Libertex organization structure. Use cloud economic principles to save costs (saving plans, reservations, commitment options, etc.).
Identify and address workload placement issues, including under/overutilization, suboptimal infrastructure type choice, misconfiguration, etc.
Build the infrastructure part of the Service Catalog.
Keep an eye on the latest updates in AWS technologies (e.g., new EC2 instance families), cost rate economics (e.g., saving plans, regional changes, etc.)
Ensure the โbuild versus buyโ principle is always considered to support business needs optimally
