Job description

About DuploCloud:

DuploCloud is a software platform that allows engineering teams to achieve their infrastructure automation, security and compliance goals by offering DevOps-as-a-Service. We strive to make DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code accessible for everyone; where application developers can focus on building applications rather than writing thousands of lines of code to automate well known operational workflows and compliance standards. DuploCloud is a venture backed company, Series-B funded by Mayfield Fund, WestBridge Capital and StepStone Group.

Infrastructure Automation Engineer

About the Role

We’re hiring a Software engineer with strong Python programming and confident IaC and CI/CD  skills. This role is hands-on and focused on building automation tools and integrations based on the needs of customers. You should be confident writing production-grade code, working with cloud environments like AWS, and using tools like Terraform and Bash to manage infrastructure.

This is a platform engineering role for a product which is a devops platform. Although it’s not necessarily a devops role, the role is all about devops. You’ll be writing the code to integrate our product with a variety of IaC and CI/CD vendors, for example Github Actions, Terraform Modules, purpose built AI agents, etc. If you’re someone who likes to solve problems with code—both in applications and infrastructure—this could be a good fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop automation tools using Python, Go, or similar languages. For example CLIs and building third party plugins/integrations.
  • Write infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, Cloudformation, etc. Specifically distributing shareable modules in a variety of brands.
  • Work in cloud environments to test, validate, and demo the tools we make.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests
  • Automate manual tasks and contribute to CI/CD workflows which are distributed to clients as products.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and even customers on feature development and infrastructure improvements
  • Troubleshoot production issues by fielding questions, concerns, and bugs coming from users of the tools.
  • Writing documentation for the tools we make.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong programming skills in Python (Must have) and Go or other similar languages.
  • Solid experience with scripting and automation using Bash and Terraform
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with Docker and containerized services
  • Hands-on experience with Git and CI tools like GitHub Actions and Circle CI, or similar tools.
  • A practical approach to testing, debugging, and deploying software

Nice to Have

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code at scale
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or ECS
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog, or ELK)
  • Experience writing CLI tools or developer automation

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Nice to have: Python and/or Terraform Certification

Compensation Philosophy:
