Business

Mid-level

Job description

Note from Diego, WiFi Tribe Founder:

I invited 7 internet strangers to spend a month living and working in my childhood home in Bolivia.

It was never meant to be a “business”. Just a group of friends traveling the world together.

It’s been 9 wild years…

Since that first trip, we’ve brought 2,500 nomads together in 80 cities to colive and cowork around the world, one month at a time.

Our work has sparked thousands of lifelong friendships, countless perspective-shifting conversations, hundreds of startup projects and career shifts, so many new romances, lots of weddings, a few babies, and an unimaginable amount of core memories.

What we do changes lives.

Not a little, but a lot and in every way you can think of.

If this excites you, keep reading to see if this might be the most perfect job ever created for you.

What is WiFi Tribe?

We believe that life wasn’t meant to be lived in just one place. That your best work can be done from anywhere. And, that everything is better when you have great people by your side.

We bring together great people from around the world to help them overcome the loneliness of solo travel, find true community wherever they go, and make their biggest travel dreams a reality, together.

We connect our members through:

40 coliving/coworking retreats in exciting destinations,

a Slack community where members share advice and support each other, and

an exclusive app that helps members meet in-person anywhere in the world, and plan their next big adventure together.

WiFi Tribe is THE vetted community for passionate professionals and entrepreneurs who seek growth and long-lasting travel connections.

YOUR Mission:

The Tribe needs a home. Well, not just one. We need many. And all around the world.

At WiFi Tribe, we think a lot about our homes. They need to be comfortable for remote work, in good condition and have all the required amenities. But most importantly, our homes need to bring the Tribe together.

We need homes that are good spaces for a community to form.

Your mission—should you choose to accept it—is to source and negotiate properties that make our chapters possible.

You’ll work in a close-knit team to align on a destination strategy, then take ownership of the execution. You’ll research options, contact landlords, build relationships, negotiate contracts, and ultimately lock in the right homes for the Tribe.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll manage your own pipeline, drive deals forward, and bring property options to life with clarity and attention to detail. You’ll ensure these homes reflect our attention to quality and care for the community and you’ll collaborate remotely with our on-the-ground hosts to ensure smooth arrivals and troubleshoot property issues if they arise.

Ideally, you’re located in the Americas time zone or be willing to work a schedule that overlaps with Asia and Europe. Hey… we did say it was global, right?

You’ll play a vital role in expanding our global network and delivering unforgettable homes for our members.

Who We Are (Our Culture)

  • Mission-Driven: ”The mission is our only agenda.”
  • Effective: ”We do the work that gets the results.”
  • Hustlers: ”We’re small but mighty; we do a lot with a little.”
  • AI-Powered: ”We use AI to boost our abilities.”
  • Speedy: ”We shorten time from idea to implementation.”
  • Bold: ”We take risks and stand for what we believe in.”
  • Honest: ”We do the right thing and tell the truth.”
  • Finishers: ”We finish what we started.”

Who You Are (Traits)

  • You’re a hustler. When it comes to finding the right property, you leave no stone unturned. You’re driven to close deals and make things happen.
  • You move FAST. You thrive in fast-moving environments and know how to act quickly when the right opportunity comes up.
  • You let nothing slip through the cracks. You’re meticulous when it comes to tracking property details, contract changes, and communications.
  • You’re organised and dependable. You keep your sourcing pipeline clear and up to date, and your team can rely on you to follow through.
  • You’re a natural relationship builder. You’re confident reaching out to landlords, navigating cultural nuances, and creating win-win deals.
  • You’re solutions-focused. When plans change or issues come up, you stay calm, adapt quickly, and find a path forward.
  • You think in systems. You naturally create simple processes to make your work smoother and more scalable.
  • You take initiative. Once the direction is clear, you know how to take the reins and drive things forward.
  • You own your outcomes. You take pride in your work and hold yourself accountable from first contact to final contract.

What You’re Great At (Skills)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You’re confident reaching out cold to landlords, negotiating across cultures, and building trust from the first message to the final contract.
  • Confident in English and Spanish. You can communicate clearly and professionally in both languages, especially in negotiation contexts. Other languages like Portuguese or Italian are a bonus.
  • Sharp negotiation skills. You know how to structure a deal, navigate concessions, and secure terms that balance cost, quality, and flexibility.
  • Organised project management. You keep your pipeline, deadlines, and follow-ups tight—even across multiple time zones and ongoing deals.
  • Resourceful and internet-savvy. You can hunt down leads across platforms, research off-market opportunities, and you’re comfortable working remotely.

What You’ve Done (Qualifications)

  • 2+ years of experience in property sourcing, real estate, hospitality, or operations—ideally with exposure to international markets.
  • A track record of negotiating deals with landlords, agents, or property managers—especially in Spanish-speaking countries.
  • Experience managing your own sourcing pipeline and pushing deals through from lead to signed contract.
  • Comfortable working independently and coordinating across time zones in a remote team environment.
  • Fluent in English and confident negotiating in Spanish. Bonus if you speak another language like Portuguese or Italian.
  • Ideally located in the Americas (North, Central, or South), with a schedule that overlaps well with landlords and team members across U.S. and Latin American time zones.

Things You Might Do Here (Responsibilities)

Accommodation Sourcing:

  • Evaluate locations: Research and determine the best areas in each city for hosting the Tribe, ensuring our members are close to key amenities and experiences.
  • Property research & feasibility: Identify and evaluate coliving properties worldwide, researching their availability, pricing, and suitability for our needs (e.g., workspaces, internet, capacity).
  • Hustle and turn over every stone to secure the ideal homes for the Tribe.
  • Conduct or arrange site visits when needed, ensuring properties meet WiFi Tribe’s high standards.
  • Build and maintain a sourcing map and property database for each assigned destination.

Pipeline Management & Collaboration

  • Maintain Trello with up-to-date with property options and progress.
  • Share top prospects with the team, highlighting opportunities and challenges for feedback.
  • Join weekly 1:1s and sourcing Scrums to sync with the team and align on next steps.

Negotiation:

  • Take the lead on landlord communication and negotiations, from initial contact through to signed agreement.
  • Negotiate strategically to secure favourable terms, balancing cost, flexibility, cancellation policies, and payment timelines.
  • Use your language skills (especially Spanish) and cross-cultural sensitivity to build trust and overcome communication barriers.
  • Go the extra mile to ensure high-speed, reliable internet is confirmed and installed before each chapter begins.
  • Own the final result: work with landlords to make sure the property is ready, aligned with Tribe standards, and fully equipped when members arrive.
  • Foster long-term relationships with property partners, paving the way for smoother renewals and future collaborations.

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Implement and refine processes that streamline property sourcing and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Optimize information management and communication related to sourcing across key departments (marketing, hosting, tribe support, etc.)
  • Provide support and ensure clear communication with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Marketing, and Finance.

Collaboration & Workflow Ownership

  • Take ownership of your sourcing pipeline, keeping progress visible and well-organised in Trello and shared docs.
  • Coordinate closely with wider team to ensure a smooth property handover and exceptional chapter delivery.
  • Communicate clearly across teams to flag risks early, share sourcing updates, and provide location insights as needed.
  • Contribute to improving processes by suggesting optimisations or tools that make sourcing more efficient and scalable.

Problem Solving

  • Stay calm and resourceful when challenges come up, whether during negotiations, landlord coordination, or on-the-ground property issues.

  • Support Hosts by troubleshooting property-related problems and stepping in when landlord involvement is required.

  • Use chapter feedback and debriefs to spot patterns and suggest improvements for future sourcing decisions.

  • $12,000 - $24,000 p.a. for part-time, depending on level of experience and track record of success in similar roles.
