As an IT Operations Analyst II, you will contribute to the design and development of IT operational environments while supporting infrastructure strategies that optimize system performance and reliability. You will assist in developing client/server architecture, researching emerging technologies, and providing recommendations for hardware, software, and data storage solutions. Your role involves analyzing system performance, identifying trends, and estimating resource requirements to enhance efficiency and scalability. You will also support troubleshooting efforts, resolve performance issues, and contribute to process improvements. Working under general supervision, you will provide solutions to moderately complex technical problems, ensuring that IT operations align with business objectives. Additionally, you will play a key role in managing IT system usage, implementing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance operational processes.
The proposed salary range for this position is $74,700-$112,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical expertise in the design and development of IT operation environments to ensure stability and efficiency
- Assist in developing strategies for client/server architecture and infrastructure planning
- Research and recommend technology solutions for hardware, software, data storage, and applications development
- Analyze system performance, identifying trends and estimating short- and long-term resource requirements
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of IT operations systems performance issues
- Develop models of computer application environments to optimize IT resource allocation
- Collaborate with teams to improve operational efficiency and support technology initiatives
- Assist in the management of IT operations functions, including system monitoring and performance optimization
- Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions
- Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded
- Identify and forward to your leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area
- Participate in growth efforts as requested
- Ensure all contractual deliverables are met/exceeded to the customer’s satisfaction
- Complete personal PDP and attend Staff Meeting and Storytime (with camera on)
- Within your program, build productive and positive professional relationships with clients
- Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract-specific LCAT and requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Clearance: Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance
Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 2 - 4 years of experience, or a Master’s with 0 - 2 years of experience
Experience with IT operations, including infrastructure planning, system administration, and network management
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot IT performance issues and implement corrective actions
Knowledge of client/server architecture, virtualization, and cloud computing technologies
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess system usage and forecast resource requirements
DoD 8570 Level 1 Certification
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and methodologies
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks
- Experience with performance monitoring tools and system optimization techniques
- Proficiency in scripting or automation for IT operations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- CompTIA Security + certification
