IT Security Analyst
Location: Remote (designated states)
This position is fully remote and may be performed from one of the following U.S. states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IN,
KS, MA, MI, MS, NC, NV, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX.

You must be able to manage large projects with minimal guidance that affect multiple regions. You will need to resolve customer issues in times of crisis, remain focused under pressure and get them working again.

Duties and Responsibilities
As Raintree’s IT Security Analyst, you are responsible for monitoring the company’s systems for signs of intrusion and coordinating with the IT Security team on incident investigation, containment, and remediation.
You will provide first contact support of incoming requests to the service desk via telephone, web portal, email to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues.
Prioritize incidents and service requests according to defined processes to meet defined SLAs.
Primarily serve as our escalation point of contact for our Security Team.
The Security Analyst will also provide guidance on security best practices and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Perform operational reviews of IT security systems and monitor key consoles for alerts
Initiate and participate in the investigation of alleged security breaches, determining root cause and impact
Respond to questions and suspected incidents through Raintree’s ticketing system.
Review current IT security trends to make recommendations for Raintree’s security strategy
Monitor public and private channels for adversary trends or vulnerabilities and adjust IT security systems accordingly.
Assist our Security Engineers in managing and configuring IT Security systems and controls
Ensure all security incidents and near misses are reported per Raintree’s Security Incident Response Plan
Act as advocates in support of Security Awareness and promote good security practices among end-users
Creating and verifying security plans with third-party vendors
Diligence in documenting activities and actions taken during incidents
Promote innovation and continual process improvement.
This role is based on the employee’s location. Must be willing to travel.
Position Proficiencies and Requirements
- This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills.
- Basic understanding of computer security concepts including Identity & Access Management, Network Security, Application Security, and Incident Management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of information technology industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with IT Security frameworks and relevant regulatory obligations (GDPR, SOX, NIST, ISO, HIPAA).
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and mitigation concepts.
- Knowledge of Enterprise antimalware/Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) platforms
- Self-starter with initiative and solutions-focused mindset
- Awareness of challenges in working with geographically dispersed teams and willingness to cooperate with others
- The position is targeted at new college graduates or candidates with up to 4 years of experience in relevant fields.

- This remote position requires a HIPAA compliant work environment. Your work environment must be accessible to a consistent and adequate internet connection per Raintree’s guidelines. A controlled and dedicated work space will be necessary to be successful
- Physical: Able to sit at a desk and grasp writing instruments. Able to manipulate fingers to perform keyboard strokes on a computer. Mobile between buildings. Must also be able to lift 40 lbs without issue and move it from under a desk to a cart and vice versa
