Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Key Account Manager with technical expertise in water treatment to support and grow our client base across Ireland. This contractor role, working outside of IR35, involves visiting existing and prospective clients to deliver on-site technical consultations, develop tailored solutions, and drive account growth. This is a part-time position initially, with flexibility and potential for a full-time arrangement based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts in the water treatment sector across various industries (e.g. manufacturing, healthcare, food & beverage, municipal).
- Business Development: Identify and engage with potential clients to expand the customer base. Promote the company’s water treatment solutions and services.
- Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on technical advice and troubleshooting for water treatment systems, including dosing, filtration, chemical treatment, and compliance issues.
- Site Visits: Conduct regular site inspections and service visits across Ireland. Evaluate system performance and propose optimisations.
- Project Support: Liaise with internal teams and third-party contractors to coordinate installations, upgrades, and service delivery.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and deliver technical reports, service records, and account summaries. Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Compliance: Ensure all solutions adhere to relevant environmental and health & safety standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in a key account management or technical sales role within the water treatment industry.
- Strong understanding of water treatment technologies, chemical dosing systems, and relevant industry regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and well-organised, capable of managing a remote workload and travel schedule independently.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across Ireland.
- Legally able to operate as a freelance contractor in Ireland or the UK.
