ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated and passionate developer to join our team in building an innovative platform that leverages data and analytics to drive automated decision-making and smart automation across the full lifecycle of our business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be a proactive and constructive contributor within a high-performing team focused on the CAT platform.
  • Design and build services with scalability in mind, ensuring optimization in performance, compute resources, quality control, visualization, and security.
  • Develop scalable, real-time, low-latency data processing and ingestion solutions.
  • Work with a variety of data sources including databases, streaming data (Kafka, Solace queues), and APIs (REST/KONG).
  • Contribute to front-end and back-end development, with some experience in React or similar technologies.
  • Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of the platform.
  • Provide Level 3 production support as needed.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, deeply understand challenges, and deliver tailored solutions with ownership and accountability.
  • Collaborate across teams to align with business and regulatory frameworks, particularly within the Financial Markets domain.
  • Implement and enforce safe and defensive coding practices to deliver secure, supportable applications.
  • Challenge and improve coding standards and solutions within the squad and across the team.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Tech stack: Java, Kafka, Solace queues, REST/ KONG API

Must have:

  • 12+ years of experience in back-end software engineering with Java.
  • Proficiency in working with data streaming tools like Kafka, Solace queues, and API integrations using REST/KONG.
  • Strong skills in developing scalable, real-time data processing solutions.
  • Experience with databases and data engineering workflows.

Additionally:

  • Experience in React or equivalent framework.
  • Experience with Front Office Banking IT.
  • Strong skills in developing scalable, real-time data processing solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of problems, design effective solutions, and deliver them independently or within a team.
  • Familiarity with the framework of Financial Markets specifications and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • An innovative mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and deliver exceptional results.
