Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Microsoft 365 Architect to design and implement cutting-edge solutions using the latest Microsoft 365 stack. The ideal candidate will specialize in Microsoft 365 migrations, SharePoint, Teams, and advanced integration scenarios while also being proficient with the Viva Suite (e.g., Viva Connections, Viva Engage, Viva Amplify).

This role requires deep technical expertise, a strong understanding of modern workplace solutions, and the ability to handle complex migration projects from platforms like Google Workspace, Slack, Box, and Dropbox. Experience in PowerShell scripting is essential. Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and SharePoint Embedded solutions will set you apart.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft 365 Architecture and Design
  • Architect and implement end-to-end solutions across the Microsoft 365 stack, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, and Viva Suite.
  •  Design workflows, integrations, and advanced configurations to enhance productivity and collaboration.

Migration Expertise:

  • Plan and execute migrations from Google Workspace, Slack, Box, Dropbox, and other legacy platforms to Microsoft 365.

  • Conduct detailed pre-migration assessments and pilot migrations to mitigate risks.

  • Use migration tools like BitTitan, ShareGate, or AvePoint to ensure efficient and seamless transitions.

  • Address and resolve challenges, such as data mapping, coexistence, content consolidation, and permissions management, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.

  • Document migration processes and maintain accurate records of configurations, scripts, and custom solutions for future reference.

Programming and Automation:

  • Develop PowerShell scripts and use programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, .NET) to automate processes, manage environments, and create custom solutions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Graph API for advanced integration and customization needs.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):

  • Consolidate and streamline Microsoft 365 environments as part of M&A activities, ensuring a smooth transition and integration of IT resources.
  • Implement governance and compliance frameworks to secure and manage the combined environment effectively.

Sharepoint Expertise:

  • Design and implement advanced SharePoint solutions, including intranets, document management systems, and collaboration portals.

Integration and Data Management:

  • Design and implement data integrations between Microsoft 365 and other enterprise systems using Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or custom APIs.
  • Optimize workflows by integrating Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) with Microsoft 365.

Governance, Security, and Compliance:

  • Develop and enforce governance policies for Microsoft 365 usage, security, and compliance.
  • Implement advanced security configurations, including Conditional Access, MFA, and Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and align solutions with business goals.
  • Lead technical discussions, workshops, and training sessions to ensure successful adoption of Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Provide technical documentation and post-implementation support to end users and administrators.

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in the Microsoft 365 stack, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and the Viva Suite (Connections, Engage, Amplify, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with migrations from Google Workspace, Slack, Box, and Dropbox.
  • Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting and programming languages like JavaScript, Python, or .NET
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Graph API and other integration tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft security and compliance frameworks.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience implementing advanced Viva Suite modules like Viva Learning, Viva Insights, and Viva Topics.
  • Familiarity with M&A scenarios, including tenant-to-tenant migrations and data consolidation.
  • Knowledge of third-party tools like ShareGate, BitTitan, AvePoint, or similar for migrations.
  • Google Workspace and/or Slack migration experience

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as:

  • Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Viva Insights Practitioner
