Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Designer Training Manager who has experience in the development, management and delivery of multifaceted training programs for California Closets Design Consultants.  This position will play a key role in the success of our Design Consultants throughout the first two years of their careers. Your contributions will directly impact on the overall performance of our sales teams and help them achieve ambitious goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Design effective training programs for a variety of end users including preliminary outline/ storyboarding.
  • Key contact for the Design Consultant Training Program.  As part of this role, you will work with the Designer ROTOR (Recruit, Onboard, Train, Operate, Retain) core team to create a full training plan for all Design Consultants.  You will work in tandem with the CC “R” (Responsible leader) on Training and an instructional designer who will develop the training assets to meet these needs.
  • Execute various aspects of the program and ultimately implement the training plan for all designers.
  • Work closely with our sales team to identify challenges they face on the job and recommend innovative ways to increase efficiency.
  • Ownership of the design consultant training program. You must be able to drive learning and change management in several areas/projects (process, technology, systems, etc.).
  • Produce engaging and interactive physical and digital educational materials, including videos, e-learning modules, and case studies.
  • Support leaders and new colleagues through a multiphase, rapid onboarding training process.
  • Research the needs of users, analysis through surveys, questionnaires, focus groups, and discussions with managers and individual contributors.
  • Responsible for designing and managing the training program, updating existing content, and developing new content.
  • Liaise with Designer ROTOR and sales managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions
  • Effectively communicate needs and scope to the Designer ROTOR team
  • Facilitate traditional classroom and virtual training
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, 1:1 training sessions etc.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate training and facilitation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, business administration, interior design preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Design Consultant or similar role is preferred
  • Understanding of current effective adult learning methodologies and tools.
  • Phenomenal written and verbal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
