Basic Function

The Manager, Technical Delivery leads a high-performing team of implementation engineers responsible for delivering Lumin’s digital banking platform to new and existing clients. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of technical project delivery, ensuring that implementation efforts are executed effectively, efficiently, and with a strong focus on client outcomes. In addition to overseeing delivery execution, the Manager plays a critical role in optimizing workflows, aligning cross-functional teams, and scaling operations through process design, automation, and tooling.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities, Experience:

Lead and mentor the Technical Delivery team, supporting growth, engagement, and performance in alignment with company goals and technical delivery standards.

Drive the successful execution of technical delivery projects, including platform onboarding, Phase 2 feature enablements, and custom service initiatives.

Serve as the primary escalation point for technical delivery challenges, facilitating resolution with internal stakeholders and external clients as needed.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations to enhance the delivery of client solutions and identify opportunities for service improvement.

Lead continuous improvement of delivery processes, documentation, and tooling to support repeatability and scale.

Drive automation and systems design efforts that improve team efficiency and reduce delivery friction

Maintain trusted relationships with clients, fostering open communication and ensuring delivery outcomes meet contractual and operational expectations.

Continuously refine project delivery workflows, applying agile principles to improve efficiency, predictability, and quality of technical execution.

Facilitate team communications, including regular 1:1s, team meetings, and alignment with peer leaders across the organization.

Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility:

Set clear expectations, offer direction, and ensure alignment with organizational goals while fostering a supportive environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and growth.

Coach, mentor, and provide training opportunities to build team members’ skills, promote internal growth, and prepare staff for future roles and responsibilities.

Manage hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, promotions, compensation, and terminations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.

Assess team performance regularly, address gaps, and ensure duties are completed efficiently and effectively in alignment with department and organizational objectives.

Position Specifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience:

Five years of progressive experience in technical project delivery, software implementation, or systems integration required.

Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives, coordinating with technical teams, or serving in a leadership capacity (e.g., project lead, SME, or mentor).

Experience in digital banking or financial services with a strong understanding of client onboarding and solution deployment required.

Hands-on experience working with relational databases and SQL for project delivery or troubleshooting required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Proficient in using JIRA and other Agile project management tools.

Ability to influence, mentor, or coordinate the work of others with a collaborative, empathetic, and goal-oriented approach.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and client relationships simultaneously.

Adept at resolving client concerns and translating feedback into delivery improvements.

Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization, with strong stakeholder management.

Advanced knowledge of digital banking platforms, with hands-on familiarity with cloud-native tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Kibana.

Understanding of microservice architectures and their role in scalable, modular systems.

High level of initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving ability, especially in fast-paced environments.
