Market Leader Europe - Food & Beverage (F&B)
Remote, Europe.

The Food and Beverage industry is a key market with multiple subsegments and significant challenges ahead on water, energy and waste management. Veolia Water Technologies, with customers across Food and Beverage, has a strong history of providing innovative solutions to benefit this industry.
The Food & Beverage Market Leader will define the commercial strategy and deploy it across the region. Working in a team of Market Leaders across other sectors, you will report into the Markets & Growth Initiatives Leaders Director, collaborating regularly on your work, successes and challenges.
What are the day to day duties?
- Defining Veolia Water Technologies Food & Beverage Market Strategy for the coming years
- Defining growth potential, growth trajectory and business plans per geography with the Commercial Leaders
- Understand market trends & drivers in the respective Market to define the competitive offering / positioning for all Veolia Water Technologies Business Lines
- Drive Market Intelligence and ensure a good understanding of competition’s strategies, portfolios and positioning
- Drive specific campaigns with prospect lists and coordinate deployment across European countries
- Report NPI (New Product Introduction) and NTI (New to Industry) opportunities to Product Management (equipment, chemicals, monitoring, digital)
- Work closely with Product Management Teams and Applications Solutions Architects to create differentiated offerings, and launch NPI’s with appropriate sales packages
- Identify customers/applications across European Food & Beverage plants and coordinate focused strategic selling campaigns with the country sales teams. Track progress through regular reviews
- Report-out progress, plans and needs to the Senior Leadership team including Sales and Business Line Leaders
- Develop sales packages, share best practices, references, case histories and deliver Industry training for the sales team (application description, value proposition, references, probing questions)
- Join key customer/prospect meetings and support the most strategic new sales opportunities
- Attend executive reviews at key customer meetings including Voice of the Customer surveys
- Raise Veolia Water Technologies brand awareness by organising subject Industry seminars, customer roadshows, webinars on social media and by actively participating in International Conferences, Events, Exhibitions etc
Qualifications
What skills and experience would be ideal in this role?
- Solid Food & Beverage industry experience in sales and marketing for equipment and/or services
- Excellent knowledge of the regulatory framework of the industry
- Good skills in sustainability trends and economic performance
- Understanding of the Veolia Water Technologies products, services, technologies and applications
- Deep understanding of the different subject industry manufacturing processes and critical performance indicators
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, problem solving skills
- All round great communicator with interpersonal, presentation, influencing skills
- Comfortable in a multinational matrix organisation
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
- Self-motivated, and able to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight
- Unyielding dedication to deadlines
- Comfortable in situations where only limited standardisation exists
- Highly committed to team spirit
- Strong customer focus
- Willingness to travel regularly
