Our high-performance radars work in all weather and are designed for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft & drones, and security of borders, critical infrastructure, and smart cities. The company combines the patented technology of metamaterials with powerful software to create a radar sensor with unprecedented performance at commercial price points. Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).


Location: Remote/home-based (must reside within Europe). Requires approximately 50% travel across Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Director to lead all regional marketing activities across the EMEA+I region, in close partnership with the Sales and Business Development teams. This role will be instrumental in expanding Echodyne’s presence and supporting sales growth with defence agencies (ministries of defence and military branches), defence integrators and system suppliers, as well as government and national security organisations (e.g., federal police, customs, border protection). The Marketing Director will collaborate closely with the global marketing team and regional sales leaders to develop and execute integrated marketing plans tailored to local market dynamics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with EMEA+I sales team to drive interest and awareness.
  • Develop and implement regional marketing strategies that promote Echodyne’s radar solutions to defence and government audiences in the EMEA+I region.
  • Plan and execute regional events, trade shows, customer briefings, webinars and demonstrations; manage local sponsorships and speaking opportunities.
  • Have good understanding of priorities for Ministries of Defence (MOD), national security agencies, integrators and system suppliers, and tailor messaging accordingly.
  • Lead creation of thought-leadership content, including white papers, case studies and presentations showcasing Echodyne’s applications in defence, border security and critical infrastructure protection.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regional procurement processes; provide feedback to product management and sales teams to refine positioning.
  • Collaborate with global marketing to ensure brand consistency, measurement of campaign effectiveness, and objectives alignment.
  • Seek customer announcements, secure media coverage, and manage communications with regional media and industry analysts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record (typically 10+ years) in marketing leadership within the defence, aerospace, or government sector, preferably with experience selling technology solutions to ministries of defence and national security agencies.
  • Experience managing events and exhibitions focused on Defence and National Security across the territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing programs across diverse geographies, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Experience working with Sales teams focused on defence integrators and system suppliers and understanding of defence procurement processes and cycles.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritise across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in other languages spoken within EMEA+I is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time within the region, with occasional travel to USA HQ.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, engineering, business, or related discipline is desired; a master’s degree is advantageous.
