WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

The Merchandise Planning Assistant will report to the Associate Director of Merchandising. They will be responsible for working directly with the Merchandise Planning Associates to help with reporting and to manage inputs used to buy and manage inventory across the direct to consumer channels of the business. This role will also be responsible for uploading and submitting all order information into the appropriate systems, coordinating with the relevant teams to get orders placed and to track status once submitted.

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO:

  • Review daily selling across all categories of the business and provide selling and inventory recaps paired with insights and recommendations to cross functional teams
  • Work with Merchandise Planning Associates to pull and prep all information for buy sheets and order recommendations
  • Track SKU performance and market trends to work with the Merchandising team to determine the direction of inventory across all programs and categories
  • Review inventory positions for upcoming promotional events with Marketing, Public Relations and Sales
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Licensing, Public Relations and other teams to manage inventory transfer requests in and out of the direct to consumer channels
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales and Licensing teams to coordinate orders and inventory levels for dropship opportunities
  • Review return rates and provide opportunities for improvement
  • Work with the Senior Director of Merchandising and Merchandising Assistant to assort and review new samples in office
  • Partner with the broader Ecommerce and Sales teams to provide selling and inventory status recaps
  • Work onsite in our Manhattan office 3-4 days per week, with remaining day(s) remote

WHAT WE WANT TO SEE:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Merchandise Planning in retail; experience with multi category and item catalog of 500+ styles is a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite, PBI and Toolio is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong analytical and retail math skills
  • Advanced excel experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet required order deadlines
  • A positive attitude and a team player willing to work cross-functionally with other teams across the business
  • Proactive, creative and eager problem solver who is willing to dig into data to offer recommendations for optimizations across inventory, reporting tools and overall ecommerce business

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Starting salary for this role will be $64,350.00
