Job Description

As a Modern Workplace Technical Lead, you will be the go-to expert for Identity & Access Management (IAM) and either Communication & Collaboration or Endpoint & Security within the Microsoft ecosystem. You will design, implement, and optimize IAM solutions while also driving either collaboration and communication efficiency or endpoint security and compliance.

This role is a balanced mix of client-facing responsibilities (50%) and internal technical development work (50%), where you will enhance internal teams’ capabilities, define learning paths, support presales activities, and contribute to continuous technical improvement across the organization.

  • Lead Internal Technical Growth: Drive continuous technical development by creating learning paths, mentoring teams, coordinating Proof of Concepts, and staying ahead of industry trends to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of Microsoft technologies.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives & Presales: Participate in technical assessments, presales discussions, RFP responses, and roadmap creation, demonstrating expertise and aligning solutions with business goals.
  • Deliver Modern Workplace Solutions: Act as the technical expert for Microsoft-based workplace solutions, capturing client needs, designing tailored architectures, and delivering high-value solutions:
  • Enhance Identity & Access Management: Design and implement secure IAM solutions with Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, PIM, and RBAC, ensuring compliance and security best practices.
  • Optimize Communication & Collaboration: Configure and manage Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, enabling efficient and secure content collaboration, telephony solutions, and hybrid setups.
  • Drive Adoption & Governance: Define governance strategies and best practices to help clients maximize the value of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
  • Migrate & Modernize: Lead Exchange migrations, Teams rollouts, and SharePoint upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions to modern collaboration platforms.
  • Secure & Manage Endpoints: Deploy and optimize Intune, MECM, AVD, and security tools to ensure seamless device management across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Enable Remote Work with AVD: Design and implement Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions, enabling secure and scalable remote work environments.
  • Improve Device Management: Optimize device health, compliance, encryption, and application deployment across a diverse range of endpoints.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in designing & implementing Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions.
  • Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Windows 11, Defender.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to design scalable and secure solutions.
  •  Experience with presales, technical consulting, and proposal development (RFPs, SOWs, roadmaps).
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Security & Compliance expertise related to Microsoft 365 environments.
  •  Excellent leadership and mentoring skills to foster growth within technical teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in hybrid cloud environments and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Graph API, Intune automation) to streamline workplace operations.
