As a Manager, Software Development you exemplify leadership that aligns and empowers teams to deliver exceptional value. Operating at the intersection of business insight, people-focused leadership, solution ownership, and influential guidance, as key to driving organization’s success. You will align team’s goals with the broader vision of the department, fostering collaboration across stakeholders and ensuring the timely delivery of impactful solutions. Leading a talented team of developers, you oversee design, development, maintenance, operational excellence, and software delivery—all while nurturing a culture of innovation, high performance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Drive high technical standards and architectural decisions with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and customer impact.
- Guide long-term technical vision, enforce best practices, adopt emerging technologies like AI, and ensure system health through proactive monitoring.
- Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging experimentation, leveraging AI to enhance productivity, service quality, and customer experience.
- Oversee the end-to-end software lifecycle—design, build, test, deploy, operate—while championing secure development and incident readiness.
- Mentor and manage developers, promote ownership, run performance reviews, and support continuous development.
- Collaborate with Product and Design on roadmaps that balance short-term goals with long-term value.
- Foster a culture of learning, technical excellence, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Work closely with stakeholders to align objectives and drive delivery of impactful solutions.
- Own delivery timelines, manage capacity, prioritize effectively, and guide the team in navigating trade-offs.
- Make fast, confident decisions, embrace calculated risks, and take ownership of results to drive innovation.
What does your future team look like?
As you consider the role of Manager, Software Development at Workleap, envision a future that is both challenging and rich with opportunities for growth. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of eight to ten talented developers, focusing on delivering key features for the Officevibe product in close collaboration with the product and technology teams. Your leadership will be crucial in not only meeting but exceeding the department’s standards for quality, performance, and outcome. Additionally, you’ll join a larger leadership group of about eighteen managers, where you’ll share challenges and collaborate on departmental goals

- Modernizing our platform architecture to enhance flexibility, speed, and scalability for enterprise clients while delivering on features.
- Evolving into an AI-native solution to empower customers with smarter tools that enhance automation, insight generation, and decision-making.
- Embedding AI and engineering excellence into our workflows to boost team productivity and ensure consistent, high-impact delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of strong management in leading successful software development teams.
- Demonstrates exceptional skill in establishing and successfully meeting team goals.
- Proficient in setting and tracking team metrics and adept at taking action based on metric findings.
- Exceptionally skilled in mentoring and knowledge sharing, actively promoting professional growth and advancement of team members in their roles.
- Ability to influence a diverse audience, including team members, peers, and directors.
- Proven experience in managing product technical debt
- Possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Has a previous experience as a software developer to understand the technical challenges that the team faces.
